This coffee machine has lasted throughout the years. Great tasting coffee each cup. I use the machine for multiple brews and it functions as well the first carafe as the last carafe. Great price and great value! Brew Performance I use either the gold reuseable filter or paper filters. Both work equally as well. Ease of Cleaning Especially easy clean up. The coffee compartment flips off and used coffee dumps into the nearest waste basket. Gold filters are great with this machine but require rinsing. Ease of Use As they say "point and click". Simple button on/off. Fill the reservoir with H2O and the coffee compartment with your favorite grind and you are set. I like the way the coffee compartment swings out for easier filling and cleaning. Design I do prefer the thermos carafe version because I do not like to leave the coffee heating on the hot plate. The coffee does become stale after 10 minutes. I always transfer the coffee into my own carafe (thermal) to drink over time. Durability I have had this coffee maker for years it operates perfectly. It brews as well as the first time I used it.

This brand has name recognition and for sure it delivers with consistency and reliability. The large size is a draw if you like or need to make larger amounts of coffee. I don't have to worry about making 2nd cups of coffee when company comes and this product continues to deliver time after time plus the markings are clearly visible and it is easy to clean so in those ways it is very user friendly. There are four drawbacks for me. The first is the larger size which takes up a larger area and if you are putting this under cupboards it may be a consideration. That same reason contributes to a somewhat bulky look in the kitchen and may be a consideration too if you are storing this in a cupboard . The 2nd is the funky handle which is not what I am used to and I do prefer a more standard model. The third is that I tend to need to pour over a sink to keep from spilling some coffee. The fourth is in my opinion this model is rather cheap looking. I have seen other brands with a more high end look.

This Braun coffeemaker performs one task well, making coffee. Not great mind you, but well and reliable. It doesn't have the fancy gadgets on most modern coffee machines, which I actually prefer. I just want something to make coffee. I don't care about a built in grinder, alarm clock, timer, or anything else like that, I want a coffee maker to just do that. This Braun is a powerhorse of reliablitiy, I have had mine for over five years with no complaints or issues. The build quality is average, nothing fancy, but it does seem to be holding up pretty well. I wish all glass pot coffeemakers came with an extra because inevitably they will break. Mine did a while back and was easy and cheap to replace. The handle on the pot could also be a bit more sturdy.

My husband and I received the KF 400 10 cup Braun Aromaster as a wedding gift, which we registered for at our local home good supply mega store. What attracted me to this model the most was the name (Braun is a well established company), its large capacity (10 cups), and a reusable wire-mesh filter. We are by no means gourmet coffee drinkers, and this model is perfect for our use. It brews quickly, stays on until you turn it off, and has multiple measuring areas (on the carafe, in the brewing basket, and in the water container. the enclosed instructions in the manual for cleanin gare the best I have ever used- we recently cleaned ours and it is beautiful and like new once more. Most of all, we LOVE the reusable filter because it's one less thing to buy, and one less thing to throw away. Not all models of the Aromaster have this feature, so make sure yours does! Pros: Inexpensive, easy to operate, brews quickly, drip stop/pause feature Cons: Only brews coffee (no grinder)
