I found a friend in Cory and fell in love with the town of Zephyr Alabama and even though I cannot physically visit Zephyr, it is a place that I go to quite often. The town and it's inhabitants are as familier to me as the town of my birth.

Cory tells the story, his story, filled with grace and love as he remembers 1964 and the changes that affected not only his town, but our nation. Change was coming, from the sound of our music, with the hates and hopes found in race relations and that first love that carries us all from childhood into our adolescents. And as Cory was to find out, sometimes the remnants of the past can raise it's ugly head and thrust itself into the peace and protection a small town gives to its folks.

Cory's life would forever change that year as he became aware of all the good and bad, love and lose, pain, hope and dispair the lives of people can hold.

Vist us in Zephyr, you will never regret the time you spend there.
