I am a boxer lover and I would not own any other breed. I have owned boxers for over twenty years. I am happy to say that I have had the priviledge to breed a fantastic litter in which turned out a very intelligent male that has become a fantastic police drug dog and cadaver dog. Not only am i proud of my brood, but they are the best dogs for children. I owned my first for ten years before he died from a sudden seizure. He was playful, never offered to bite, but was very protective and played with and licked children to death! LOL I later got his mate and she is still with me at the age of twelve. She is sweet and layed back and loves my two daughters which are under the age of three. These two gave me a litter of six more in which all belong to family members including one I kept for our own family. They are all a combination of their parents. I also have had the joy of adopting a beautiful female from a local animal shelter that was just dropped out there. She too is a delight and took up with our oldest daughter. They roll around in the floor and play for hours. My daughter even rides her back! Boxers are a sweet breed and perfect family and children's dogs. They are very smart and love everyone in a household. Everyone should think of owning one. Boxers are also easy to house train. It only took a week for all of mine. True they are a large breed but they are also little people with fur and perfect for every household.
