Boxer Breed —

I got our Boxer for my husband's birthday. We had a 3 month old baby at the time and had finally moved to a house where a dog was possible and my husband wanted one. I had previously owned a Boxer and knew they were excellent dogs for a family. We brought our Boxer puppy, Guinness home at 8 weeks old. He grew quickly the first year and became a full grown "coiled spring" Boxer by one year old. He weighs 65lbs and is about 25 inches from ground to his belly. He is now 4 years old and has calmed considerably in the past year, which could be he has a bloodhound for a playmate now, but still gets very excited when a family member comes home. He thinks all visitors have come to see him. He chases cats and rabbits and can jump an average chain link fence without much effort, he can also climb chain link fences. He is protective of our home and our family. He is not aggressive, but sounds like it when he plays. He has never bitten anyone. He loves bones/raw hides. He is a reverse brindle. We did not have his ears cropped and have not had any issues with his health. He is not kenneled when we are gone and is not destructive.
