A year ago my husband decided it was time to "get in shape" so he decided to buy a Bowflex.
He searched through the internet and without asking my opinion or letting me take a look around, he purchased one. Mind you now, he picked a nice model and several attachments and ended up paying $1500 for the unit and delivery. (he's not one for research) So you can see I wasn't a very happy camper about that!
Anyway, we decided to workout together every other night. We stuck to this plan. He was able to use more weights after the first week but not me. I quickly lost interest, but used it faithfully for 6 weeks.
Not really seeing the improvements I wanted, I stopped. My husband uses it maybe once every week or two. The newness wore off pretty quickly.
I guess if you are really into exercising and body toning, then the Bowflex is just right for you. Just remember to shop around and be sure this is what you want. It's a lot of money to spend for something that just sits on the porch.
I do recommend this to anyone who is into fitness. You will get results, but you have to work at it.
