The Bowflex Tredclimber is the best exercise equipment I have ever been on. I lost 30 pounds in 6 months, and my husband lost 50 pounds in 6 months. This treadmill is low impact, which makes it great for those with knee or joint problems. You also burn double the calories than you would on a traditional treadmill. It is a lot of fun too! It feels like you are walking through sand. It is very loud and quite expensive, but it is well worth it! If I had the money, I would buy one for everyone in my family!

They hold up pretty well, but the warranty is excellent...we have called in several times over the past years and they send new parts ASAP with no questions asked. We use the treadclimber so frequently (for over 4 years daily) that it was bound to wear in some areas.

My husband did have back problems, but I have to say that we feel the Treadclimber strengthened his back. It is so wonderful...we have been using it almost daily for at least a half hour for over 4 years. It is pretty loud, though. Since I work out in the morning, I have to turn the captions on the TV or else I would have to turn it up all the way. It is well worth it though!

Do you or your husband tend to have back problems--I wonder how this piece of equipment would be for those like me who do. Can you watch TV while exercising?

They hold pretty well, but they have a warranty. I would get a couple extra depending on how much you plan to use the tredclimber. We have needed to replace them once and we have had it for 2 years and use it at least once a day.
