I have bought the Bow Flex "Select a weight" dumbbells these are the ones that have the rotary dials at each end of the dumbbell so that you can dial in the amount of weight for each dumbbell. The increments are: 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 & 52.5 pounds. In order to get all of these separate dumbbells you need the space of a small room to store all of them and a rack to hold them all so you won't trip on them when you walk into the room. By having the selector on each end of your dumbbells you dial in the desired weight that you want to work with and then just pick them up and the rest of the weights stay in the tray where you store your dumbbells. Everything is nice and neat you're able to curl with a 25 pound one and then rest and then pick up a second one that you have dialed in with a greater or smaller weight and then continue or just dial in another weight for a different exercise and continue after that. Some exercises call for a lopsided weight and I was always trying to come up with a way to do that with these Bowflex dumbbells I'm able to dial in 25 on one side and 30 on the other to get the burn needed on certain exercises. In order for any weights to work you must use them, just looking at them doens't really help you out in the least, intentions aren't the same as actually doing, so just go do it. The initial price tag is around $300.00 but the cost isn't that bad when you think about trying to add the arsenal of dumbbells you'd need, plus the space you'd need to store the same amount of dumbbells as with the weights you get with these.
