The reason i would say its a 3 because the metal detector dost do every thing it say its capable of doing. The metal detector will not find gold whats so ever, but it will find silver so that's a plus. I would say this metal detector is very capable of finding iron which usually ends up being trash. So if your a environmental friendly type of person an like keeping the world a clean and a better place to live than its a plus for you. So over all i would say if your buying this metal detector expect to find coins an trash. At the end i would say it best for coin hunting. I would also recommend buying a hand held pin-pointer as the petal detector does a terrible job of pin pointing.
