Bounce Dryer Bar —

I normally use a liquid fabric softener in the washer, mainly because it's easier than searching through the laundry for those dryer sheets after I take the loads out of the dryer. Invariably, I'll miss one and find it several days later clinging to the inside of a pair of jeans -- after I've put them on.

With the Bounce Dryer Bar, I'll never have to search for a wayward sheet again -- and it works so well, I may just let it completely replace my liquid fabric softener (hear that, Downy?).

At first I was skeptical the thing would stay put. It has a relatively small adhesive strip, and given the curve of the dryer's drum, I thought "no way" -- and according to the directions, you're not supposed to stick it on one of the fins. But it's been in place for nearly 3 weeks now, and it's showing not the slightest wiggle.

Another thing I was afraid of was that the scent would be too strong (at the beginning anyway, when the bar is "fresh"). I have a sensitive nose and don't like overpowering scents on my clothes or towels. This hasn't been the case, though. The scent is very soft. Like the dryer sheets, the Bounce Dryer Bar does an excellent job of ridding static from the laundry.

I was also afraid the bar would become covered with lint, especially when I'm drying towels, but this hasn't been the case. I do notice lint when I dry a dark-colored load, but on the next load of lighter colored clothes, the lint disappears. I usually dry my laundry on the highest heat setting. The settings you use on your dryer may or may not cause more lint to accumulate on the Bounce Dryer Bar.

The bar that I have is the "lasts about 2 Months" size, but it will probably last a little longer -- I only do laundry for one person (me).  According to the directions, when this one is ready to be replaced, you just slip the spent cartridge out of the holder and slide a new, fresh one in.
