Bounce Dryer Bar Review

i have to admit that i have not used this product yet. 

it's not that i'm not intrigued, it's not that i don't think it will work.  i even think the concept is pretty nifty and convenient.

the big, big, BIG issue that i have with this product is that it sticks to the inside of your dryer with one of those spongy foam double-sided stickers.  you know, the kind that tend to get less effective in heat and humidity?

it was difficult to tell through ads and commercials how the dryer bar adhered, but i was expecting magnets, which seemed most logical to me.  i was very disappointed to find it was a sticker.

i recently bought a brand new washer and dryer for the first time in my life (no more hand-me-downs!), and the last thing i want to do is stick something in there what might leave some kind of gooey residue.  also, if it falls off, couldn't that goo end up on the clothes you're currently drying, as well?

i like this product in theory, as i forget to toss dryer sheets in all the time, but i'm not willing to play "what if?" with my dryer and my clothes should the sticker not be able to stand up to "cotton sheet heat".

i just read that someone used it for a car air freshener...i may use it for that.

*****11/19/09  works GREAT as an air freshener for the car.  it's been in ther a couple weeks now, and my car smells like clean clothes!  after years of smelly pets and spilling kids, anything that can take on the BO that my car gets in heat and humidity has my undending devotion!
