Boudreaux's Rash Protector is just OK...not too impressed.
I was currently using desitin and had been wishing there were a diaper cream that was sprayable since I felt I was washing my hands 24-7. With two little ones still in diapers, my hands were taking a beating from all the handwashing. So i was ecstatic when I saw an ad for this in a parenting magazine. First off, both my girls rarely get diaper rashes. The only time is when a poopy diaper goes unchanged (of course not knowing it) so i figured this stuff didn't have to work that well to get the job done. It has a weird smell, a combonation of vanilla and mint or something. It's very hard to describe and my husband can't stand it. It really doesn't bother me but it is an odd smell. The active ingredient in it is 10% dimethicone, so I don't think anyone can really expect it too work that well. It goes on clear and is quite runny. Maybe I got a defective one but it's not really a mist like the can says. With in 2 days of using the spray both my girls got a rash. I cannot say i would reccomend this for new babies. It would be most effective after your child has pooped because I doubt it would be helpful protecting the skin from that or maybe a toddler during potty training. For now I'm back to the desitin. I'd rather my hands have a rash than my children's bottoms.
