I have a seven year old, four year old and one year old. When my oldest got diaper rash, the pediatrician and even my dad, who is also a doctor tried telling me various treatments, including home remedies, creams, ointments, etc. She and my one year old have eczema so as anyone with that knows, it can be testy sometimes to put new things on their skin. My oldest had such a bad rash that the skin started to break open and the day care said she had to stay home until it was healed.
I was in WalMart and saw this stuff. I am from Louisiana originally so the name "Boudreaux's" caught me first. Then my husband was cracking up at the "Butt Paste" part. But I decided that since it was from Louisiana I would give it a try...I figured even if it was some voodoo stuff, maybe it would work. The smell...horrible. But you know what they say...smells bad, works good. This stuff cleared up her diaper rash and she was able to go back to daycare within a day. I have used it on all three kids now and keep a HUGE tube of it at home and sent another one to the one year old's daycare. Its great stuff and I suggest it to everyone I know...even random strangers in the store..smile.
I can say that in later years the smell has gotten MUCH better!
