When choosing a dog it's very important to get a breed that fits your lifestyle. That cute little puppy will grow up fast and have traits related to his or her breed that cannot be changed. That's why I did research before getting a dog and decided that the Boston Terrier was a great choice for me.
My Boston Terrier ''Beethoven'' is playful, affectionate, and easy to care for. Known for their docile temperament, Boston Terriers want to be everyone's best friend and are sometimes called ''The American Gentleman''. I'm not sure if it's gentlemanly for a dog to lick people, but my dog loves to show...
review »Besides all the great qualities that people have shown here , i would also add that Bostons are also very smart and obedient if you train them right. My dog knows to go inside his crate, jump on the bed, go to his pillow or his chair, go to the place where the food is.. when told to...and a bunch of other tricks. Whenever i go play tennis with my husband, we tell him "chair" and he goes straight to the umpire chair and sits there the entire time we pratice (sometimes 2 h) without bothering us at all. He will come to us whenever we have a water break and then he goes right back once we...
review »You have not owned a dog until you have been owned by a Boston Terrier! We have a eight year old female BT who ownes us wholeheartedly. She came to me when she was six months old. She was timid and scared and very depressed. Within a week, you could just see her little personality blossom! She is very much the center of attention at our house and has been since the week after we got her home.
It has been my experience with BT's that they are loyal, smart and affectionate little dogs. Bubbles has the personality of a queen, royal and loyal! She is very attached to me and our home. She will let you...
review »The Boston Terrier has to be the BEST 'big' dog in a little body. Bostons are divided into 3 size groups by the BTCA and AKC. They should bot get bigger than 25 pounds if you are going to show them. Most show Bostons that I have seen are under 20 pounds. They are very colses to their owners and are proctive of their families. They LOVE to give kisses and are bed hogs they love sleeping with their humans.
Boston Terriers are so special. From their expressive faces to their loyalty to their love of snuggling, my boys continue to amaze me every day. They're also VERY easy to care for. They don't have a lot of hair & require very light grooming. They are active and require a lot of human interaction, though having two, they have each other also.
We have a boston terrier who is eight years old. We have had her since she was a puppy. My husband found a good breeder and purchased her. From day one she has been the perfect dog for our family. We got her and had her for five years before we had our first child. She made the transition to having small children into the house so well. She is very even tempered and is not a yappy dog. Some think bostons are all yappy and that is not true. She had more energy when she was a puppy, but has mellowed as she has gotten older. She is so good with our two very young children.
Our boston...
review »I have had a Boston Terrier for over a year, and she has been the best companion ever! She plays with my 5 year old and protects him and is very patient with him. She is very smart (only took 3 weeks to potty train at 9 weeks old!) loves to learn tricks, loves walks, only barks when she is outdoors and a dog is nearby, yet she is very nice and never bites. We will own Boston Terriers for the rest of our lives!
