I have a boston terrier and a pug...I have worked with boston terrier rescue and had many in my temporary care. If you are looking for a happy, fun, busy dog, this is the breed for you. There are some things to consider though. Bostons are prone to a LOT of health problems and getting one from a breeder that does not do proper genetic testing is a setup for a huge amount of medical issues and lots of money. My boston was not from a good breeder, and I have spent well over $6000 in 4 years on her. They cannot be left outside, and they want to be with you always. Bostons are smart dogs (for the most part) and learn quickly, but they also choose when they want to respond. My boston usually wants to please, but she is smart enough to be hard headed at times too...They love everything and everyone, if they are socialized as a puppy and have not been exposed to a reason to become nervous or aggressive. I would do lots of research before getting a boston, but they are a wonderful breed to own if you want a constant companion.
