Vintage Hollywood/Carson's Ribs what more can you want?

I am probably one of the few people who know that Boston Blackie was a series of somewhat humorous mystery movies with a hunky actor in the starring role made during the 1930's and 1940's-and that is where the restaurant derives its name. There are several locations, but I prefer the Naperville location because it is closest to my home. The menu is an eclectic mix of beef, pork, and chicken offerings with a couple seafood choices, but absolutely everything that they make can be accented with Carson's barbeque sauce. They have a great selection of salad choices with more than generous portion sizes. Their burger list is exhaustive and should appeal to just about any taste. You can also get just about any sort of chicken breast sandwich you could imagine. They offer sides like baked beans and cole slaw, onion straws, fries, and let you mix and match your main items with the sides of your choice. The lunch prices are quite good and the portions are just about as large as dinner. My personal favorite is the Carson's ribs. Remember M.A.S.H. and remember Hawkeye and his cohorts moving heaven and earth to try to get the gourmet ribs and sauce to Korea? Well, these are the ribs immortalized in that episode and they are worth all the hype. Move over Famous Dave's and forget it Barnelli's....Carson's is the only ribs for my family. Take a pass on the smoothies-not really anything special although not bad. The desserts sound more exotic than they are, solid but pretty safe and boring. Prices are competitive. And the appetizers are literally enough to put you away if you aren't careful or there aren't enough people in your party. For the sports enthusiasts, the place is filled with flat screens so you can dine with the family and keep up with the wide world of sports. The have a full service bar and a nice selection of beer and wine. My favorite place to go. Lets hope that they keep their standards high.
