I am writing on the portable version. The sound quality has been great. Friends have been very impressed with the level of bass from such a compact unit.  The volume is phenomenal. I take it with me to my various work locations and the compact unit just fills the room. Having the small remote means that I can move around the room with complete flexibility. the bose ipod dock is by far the best out on the market. though it is a bit more expensive, you get what you pay for. i would pay twice what it cost. it has superior sound quality to anything i have heard on the market. the highs are crisp and clear, and the lows are surprisingly deep and full for the size of the product.  i have the old model that is not portable. the new portable model is perfect. i will definitely get it next. bose accels in every aspect of speaker quality and sound. you cant go wrong with anything that has the bose name on… read full review »

I received my Bose SoundDock and immediately popped my iPod on it. I was shocked by the clean, crisp sound I heard coming from such a small device.
