Bose - QuietComfort 2 Consumer Headphones Reviews

I have owned these headphones for several years.  They are very comfortable and they sound great.  I have used them airplane trips and currently use them in the office when it gets too loud.

My complaints are that they are bulky and they do not shut down on their own so I often deplete the battery which is a single "triple A" battery.   I believe the new model is slimmer and would be easier to travel with.

That being said, I used them for a few hours today with my iPod and hooked up to my computer and they do a great job of making a noisy office much quiter.

I have had my Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones now for a number of years.. I travel 4 to 5 times a year by plane. The first years they did exactly as advertised reducing unwanted noise especially nearby conversations and making my ipod sound even better.. But it seems that over time now that it just simply does not do the job any longer.. meaning reducing outside noise.  The battery seems to need changing much more frequently too.. The headphones are very comfortable but sometimes hard to adjust. One friend told me his broke at the ear piece as it would only turn a certain...

I travel often and these are great.  They cut out the airplane noise (but not voices) and they make my ipod music sound great!

 They do make your ears a bit warm at times, but it isn't a big issue. I did try on the newer model that is on the ear and they were very comfortable, I would probably get those if I was in the market right now. 

  I don't really have any issues with battery life. 

Sounds great and real comfortable.

 Expensive but good things usually are.

Wish they were they size of the non-noise cancelling Bose headphones.  The difference in bulkiness is significant. While I like the noise cancelling feature, I usually travel with the other because of size.

Only other negative I have found is the lack of auto off.  I always am burning out the battery...

This was a gift for my husband who is a discerning user. Brand name to him equates with quality for him. It worked very well but cannot be used casually. It needs to be put away EVERY time after use and not tossed on the sofa or table. The earpiece came off the rest of the headphones and could not be put back even after a visit to the Bose store. For the price paid for it, $150+ , that was disappointing.

I've gone through numerous sets of headphones and have probably spent as much money twice as what I did on this one set that will last way longer than any others.  In my opinion, these are the best headphones out there right now.  My teenagers love them and when they are sitting at the table listening with these on, I can't hear them and I am in the SAME room.  It's great!!
