Bose - QuietComfort 2 Consumer Headphones Review

I have had my Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones now for a number of years.. I travel 4 to 5 times a year by plane. The first years they did exactly as advertised reducing unwanted noise especially nearby conversations and making my ipod sound even better.. But it seems that over time now that it just simply does not do the job any longer.. meaning reducing outside noise.  The battery seems to need changing much more frequently too.. The headphones are very comfortable but sometimes hard to adjust. One friend told me his broke at the ear piece as it would only turn a certain way and of course he turned it the wrong way breaking the cushioned plastic ear holder off.. The headphones are lightweight and compact and with  a wonderful slim zippered case strong enough to handle travel.. The Bose name I much respect and have the Bose radios at home and even use the headphones with them .
