Bosch Nexxt Washer - 500 Front Load Review Summary

Doesn't everyone feel like a "high quality front-loading washing maching is worth every penny?" Reviewers want you to know the Bosch Nexxt Washer - 500 Front Load fits that bill. One of the best features of this Bosch Washer seems to be that it spins very fast, making the time in the dryer afterwards "far less than normal." Additionally, the 500 Front Load has "many cycles and extra options to get many different temperatures, spin speeds and tumbling action." Just some of the extra options on the Bosch Nexxt Washer are a profile wash that starts with cold and ends in the desired temperature to help with protein-based stains, and a two hour soaking cycle with obvious benefits. The extra capacity is a nice bonus as well, fitting a whole king size comforter, or an entire bedding set on a twin bed. Within no time at all, this Bosch Washer has users wondering "how I ever lived without it." For more excitement, pair it with a Bosch Nexxt Dryer.

I have had the Bosch Nexxt 500plus washer for about 10 weeks now and I am very happy with it. It replaced a noisy Hotpoint top-loader that never really did a good job at cleaning but used huge amounts of water and energy.

This washer has many cycles and extra options to get many different temperatures,...

I bought the Bosch front load washer and dryer because of the raving reviews and to help doing the laundry more efficient for a family of 6. My husband was the first to complain about the smell of the towels. We thought it was our fault for not drying them sooner. I thought that I was doing something...

Love how fast this spins, making drying time far less than normal, using less energy, etc., but the rubber seal on the washer gets moldy unless the door is kept open.  I believe a new product has been created to alleviate this problem, but when you are spending this kind of money, who should have to put up with this crap?

Got the Bosch Nexxt 500 about a month ago. I have a few issues so far. 1st, I don't think the capacotu is really that big. I am used to the traditional top loaders and this doesn't seem to hold as much laundy. Second, I am still dealing with a door problem. The first time i used it, the door closed fine. Then after that the door does not close properly. I have to give the door a good hip check or press my body against it until the 'door locked' light comes on, otherwise I just get the irritating buzzing sound that alerts you there's an error and the wash won't start. Bosch tech came 2 wks ago and... review »

This Bosch Nexxt 500 Series front lader washing machine has never cleaned my laundry well since the day I purchased it in February 2007.  I had the repairman out multiple times the first year warranty.  He changed out various parts that were not functional but it still does not clean any better. It doesn't show any standing water in the drum at any point in the washing or rince cycles so I believe the laundry just isn't getting enough water to properly clean.  the repairman said I should NEVER see any water but I disagree.  You have to get laundry wet to get it clean.  Now I am using the five...

I just recently got to purchase the Bosh 500Plus NEXXT front loading washer and I truly wonder how I've ever lived with out it!!  It is a lot of washer than what I really need but after doing my homework comparing Bosh with the other brands, Bosh had the least complaints over all and the best manufacturer warranty too.  I can fit a king size comforter in it with no problem!!  If my toddler son has a diaper leak, I can put all of his bedding into the washer with room to spare!!  I'm talking the twin mattress pad, twin sheet set and twin size comforter/quilt!!  Which save me time otherwise...

This is a great washer!  My washing loads have been cut in half because you can fit more clothes in it than a normal extra capacity washer.  It is an energy saver washer although, it does take a bit longer to wash than a conventional washer.  It's spin cycle is great, the clothes comes out close to dry.  That has cut my drying time.  The only thing that bothers me is that it does not turn itself off after a washing cycle, it has to be turned off manually.  Well atleast I have not found the way to do it yet.  Overall it is a great washer, a bit pricy but worth every dollar.

I was thrilled when I first bought my Bosch.  It was beautiful to look at and I was happy to have the effienciency and large capacity.  But that changed quickly.  A mold problem developed on the door and causes the clothes to smell bad.  I have cleaned with everthing as instructed by Bosch but to no avail.  Bosch said they could not replace the machine because it still functions.  I thought the function of the machine was to get clothes clean.  If they smell dirty, then my guess is that they have mold on them from the door. The Bosch representative told me there is no way to get the mold...

I love my front loading Bosch! It does the best job on getting my kids' clothes clean, and is so quiet too! My laundry area is in the hallway near out living room- outold washer was loud, and we would be turning theTV up while doing laundry. However this washer is so quiet- we are turning the TV down while the laundry is going now days!

I also love that is uses less water than the old clunker! and there is no agitator for your delicate clothes to get wrapped around. I highly reccomend this machine to anyone who might be in the market for a new washer!

We needed a Bosch because it was the only model we could find that didn't have the detergent going in a drawer on the front.  In our new house, the closet door blocks access to a pull out drawer and the Bosch had the detergent going in the top.  We thought we had found a solution to being able to stay with front loader machines, which we like, but unfortunately there are lots of problems with the Bosch (and it's the top of the line model).  It does not balance well and shakes violently.  The front door of the washer and dryer won't stay open while you load/unload clothes, they just swing shut...

This is the worst washer ever do not buy it, you will regret it. The collar holds water and does not drain which causes mold to form. This mold is next to impossible to remove. With this " high efficiency" washer I have to run four cycles for each load of laundry. I have to run a bleach load first to try to get rid of the stink (never really goes away) then wash, then spin and then drain cycles and repeat for each load. This washer has ruined my handmade baby blankets and many articles of my and my childrens clothes with streaks of mold that does not come out. When you call Bosch they tell you...

We didn't need a new washer, the one we had was working fine. But, we were in the middle of a drought last summer...and couldn't afford the water from our spring to use our top-loading machine. After 2 months of the laundry mat...and much research, we chose to buy the Bosch to become our laundress. She is the greatest!! She only uses 10 gallons for an entire load of clothes, and the dryer has less work to do because the Bosch washer spins the clothes nearly dry at the end of the cycle. I love my Bosch!

We have had the Bosch Nexxt 500 front load washer for about a week.  It does a great job washing the clothes and is very quiet.  The mail complaint is the the moisture on the door after the wash cycle is complete, requiring leaving the door open to dry or manually wiping with a soft cloth to dry, this is disappointing.   Also, a sock or other small clothing item getting stuck in the space between the glass and tub.  When removing these items you find they are soaking wet and need to be wrung out by hand before putting in the dryer. It appears to be a design flaw, which is surprising for such...

The Nexxt 500 from Bosh is a Great washer, the sanitary wash is a bit longer than american washers taking two h. to make the whitest whites. Many cicles option and temperatures. 1,200 rpm. Love it!!!! I am European and after a long search I think this was the best choice for my needs. I do lots of washing! Super silent and programmable up to 17h delate. Can't go without!!!

                                         ... ALMOST ONE YEAR LATER...

... I am still amazed how white my kids socks get after "walking in the dirt and grass. Still LOVE IT!!
