My clothes smell dirty because of mold on the door

Pros

    exlarge capacity washer, energy and water efficient, needs less detergent than normal washers, quiet operation, easy to operate

Cons
    door, Too much moldy smell!, mold problem, needs to be turned off manually, Takes too long to wash clothes, wet door, Doesn't get laundry clean

I was thrilled when I first bought my Bosch.  It was beautiful to look at and I was happy to have the effienciency and large capacity.  But that changed quickly.  A mold problem developed on the door and causes the clothes to smell bad.  I have cleaned with everthing as instructed by Bosch but to no avail.  Bosch said they could not replace the machine because it still functions.  I thought the function of the machine was to get clothes clean.  If they smell dirty, then my guess is that they have mold on them from the door. The Bosch representative told me there is no way to get the mold out of the door ring.   

Bottom line - I will never buy another Bosch product.  Not only am I embarrased about the bad smell, but I will be forced to buy anothe machine (probably a top loader) that is not as energy efficient. My initial investment in the machine is especially painful during these hard economic times.

I'm with you on this one...I've had my Bosch500 washer for a little over a year & have NEVER been so DISAPPOINTED in a machine. I hate this thing! It ties my clothes in knots on some loads; other loads like large bedding pieces, sometimes does not spin them dry enough & they are literally DRIPPING with water - and there is no way to set a spin cycle by itself (?) that I've found. This thing is such a waste of money, I'm sick over it. I wish I had just stayed with the top load washers - I've always been pleased with. I thought I had done my homework, read every review, etc. Now I'm incredibly disappointed. Can't wait until I can afford to get rid of the thing!
