Cleans well/long cycle

4

I like the way this washer cleans but the cycles are so long. Also wish there were more cycle options. I would like to be able to select my own water temperature for each cycle. I would also like to be able to select the time for each cycle. Everything is automated and because the cycles are so long, I often forget there are clothes in the washer. Energy Efficiency I suppose it is high energy efficient. The tag on it when I bought it says it is. Cleaning Time Way too long. Would like to be able to set the time myself. Performance Clothes come out clean. Must leave washer open after each cycle so it dries out and does not start to smell. Ease of Use Easy because everything is automated. Design I like the way they look and I like that you can purchase an under mount drawer that is not huge. Durability I had this washer for almost 6 years and have only had a repair man out once due to something getting lodged in the drain within the washer. They removed the panel, drained it and found a small sock in the drain.

Bosch Nexxt 300 Series -Not Recommended

I don't like my machine. The clothes don't come out clean. Everything is tied in knots after cleaning. It takes about 1 1/2 hrs. to do one load, the door must be left open when not in use, or it quickly mildews, making the clothes smell mildewy. I would NOT recommend this machine to anyone!

Perfect--built to last, and cleans clothes gently and thoroughly

5

Cleans clothes fabulously. Very quiet, even on spin. It's a workhorse; I can fit my king comforter in it and it comes out beautifully clean and fresh. My clothes spend less time in the dryer, thanks to the spin cycle. My clothes have also been lasting longer- no more pulls on the towels, either. Saves money on my electric and water bill. I've had it since it was first introduced in '05, 7 years ago, and have had absolutely no repairs needed. It reminds me of how washing machines used to be built to last- but better; as now my clothes come out cleaner! Energy Efficiency Used very little water to do a much better job. Cleaning Time It takes a little longer than the older top loading machines, but it's worth it. Our clothes are cleaner and less damaged as a result. Performance Top rate performance across the board. Built like a tank, gentle on clothes. Ease of Use Every setting you need, none that you don't. Design SOLID. Built to last, but nice design. Durability Excellent durability- 7 years and no problems!

Can't believe it is so quiet.

We spent a lot of time deciding on a washing machine, comparing different varities and brands, testing them and visiting numerous appliance stores and department stores. Bosch defintely won us over!  I admit the Bosch if you pay full price is very expensive. However, I will say that we were lucky and got a fantastic deal with two different rebates, making the final cost of the machine less than most of the other models we looked at.  We love how quiet it is and have had no problems yet - almost two years now. It has a number of different settings to choose from depending on the type of laundry you are doing. And the extra spin cycle is great - really getting the water out of the clothes. I almost don't even need to run them through the dryer. We only use HE detergent like it says, so maybe that is why we don't have any problems. We also had the specialists come and set it up for us. They did a great job. Not sure why other people don't like this model, but we still give it a thumbs up!

Code 27 Clothes Locked in Washer Expensive Service Warranty SUX

1

Initially the washer OK. It seems to be getting louder, and now that our clothes are locked in the washer that's not OK. We reported the problem to Lowes and Bosch to no avail. The tech came out and determined we needed a new lock mechanism after fumbling around trying to BS us into thinking he reset the codes. Duhhhh!!!!! So the tech returns four days later with wrong part just to tell me he had the wrong part. Not to mention we waited in a 5 hour window on the day he arrived. We again called Lowes on a Friday and they assured us they were sending the correct part over night. Late on the anticipated day for the part to arrive to the tech they called to see if we had the part at our home. WHAT? We then called Lowes and Bosch, nobody know where the part is and they don't have tracking number. You know what that means. The part was never shipped and the parts department was closed until the next day. We are now waiting for a call from someone at Lowes to confirm part shipped. It good when it works. Expensive Service Warranty SUX. NO WAY TO STOP WASH CYCLE END ALERTS. Annoying Energy Efficiency Wasteful with small loads. Cleaning Time No short cycle times Performance Whites don't seem as white, so whats really going on with the colored clothes? Ease of Use NO way to shut off end of cycle beeper. If you wash at night b4 bed you will have to get up and shut it off. Durability Service contractor milking the situation. Lowes and Bosch service department incompetent unreliable.

I've owned a Bosch Nexxt 300 front-loader for two years, and it's an awful machine.  Very rarely can it handle sheets or towels- the spin cycle will not complete, and then you have a wet mess of clothing to deal with. So then you adjust the clothing, run "spin," and hope that the washing cycle was finished before it seized up. Or redo the entire wash. You have to redo, and redo: and when finally finished, clothes are only marginally clean. it's by far the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Stay away!

Error code 13 on Bosch nexxt 300

4

The washer overall is a great one, I've just encountered a problem with a error code 13, the manual that comes with the washer is no help. I called the Bosch help desk line, while the operator was very nice she informed me that she had no idea what the error code was, she did tell me to check the water inlet lines to make sure that they were not clogged. This felt like a get me off the phone answer. I did have better luck sending Bosch an email, I was told the error code 13 was a clogged drain pump/hose, which I figured since the washer wasnt draining all the way. Never owning a HE front loader i was a little hesistent to start loosening screws, I was given the # to a local Bosch service rep, he didnt sound to promising from his answering service. It looks like Bosch has a limited service network, since I was only given 1 tech in my area, and he was 35 miles away. I did call a small local appliance store near my home, he advised me he didnt service Bosch appliances but did tell me some basic info about HE front load washers. They have an access door/port on the front, the manual gave no info about this, other than it will expose sharp edges, points and electrical connections. The local guy advised me that there is a drain pump clean out behind this door, turn counterclock wise and proceed to clean out any debris, there will be alot of backed up water so i would suggest moving the washer to a outside location if possiable. I did all the above steps and so far so good, if I had to rate my experience it would go as follows. overall product quality: 10 out of 10 great washer wahes good, rinses clean, clothes are almost dry after spin cycle. 800 help desk: 2 out of 10 nice people, have no clue about product and product problems that may arrise. Email support: 10 out of 10 Fast response, gave me an explanation of the error code associated with my problem, and a local tech to fix. Do it yourself: 9 out of 10 once the problem was diagnosed the hardest part was moving the washer to a good location to allow for excess water drainoff. Drain was easy to clean and time frame was about a 10 minute fix. With Bosch I would suggest researching your local repair guys before buying, I found out that the tech that Bosch suggested was not a reputable repair center, but after 1.5 years of ownership this was the first problem we have encountered.

Very efficient Bosch washer

I read a lot of user reviews before purchasing my Bosch front-load washing machine and pretty much got exactly what I expected. We use very little soap and usually the time setting for each load is pretty much right on. There are times when loads take a long time, but that is usually when I'm using bleach, or some extra feature. For the most part, we are plain jane users who just wanted a 25 minute cycle that uses very little soap and water and have been very happy with this machine. It will wash a LOT of laundry in a load. We also have 2 small children who were in cloth diapers most of the time so we have made extensive use of the soak, bleach, extra rinse and heat features for diapers. As long as one expects that this isn't quick, it has been effective as a washer. We do occasionally have issues with the machine starting to smell and I wish that it were MUCH easier to access the filter. Even knowing exactly how to get access (bottom front right of the machine), it is still always a frustrating challenge to remove the cover. Other than that and the fact that we do occasionally wash out the gasket on the door, this washer has been very effective and efficient and an appliance well worth the money spent on it.

Bosch Nexxt 300 worst washer ever!

1

Bought this washer recommended by a lowes employee about two years ago and I hate everything about. It sounds like a semi going down the highway during the spin cycle, had a repair man come out and there was nothing he could do about that. water is sittin inside the door glass and the rubber seal has began to mold, this is even after always leaving the door open when not in use. The wash cycles are extemely long!!!! I will never buy Bosch anything as long as I live!!!
