Buyer Beware

2

This is a very disappointing dishwasher. Mine is less than 3 months old and I've had multiple service calls on it. Here's the bottom line - it looks great, but performs poorly and feels cheaply constructed. I am well versed on Bosch's "condensation dry" method - however, with my unit - the dishes come out sopping wet every time - creating more work for the homeowner. In addition, the top rack is "rickety", gets stuck all the time and doesn't glide in/out smoothly. I had a builder's grade GE dishwasher for 10 years without a single issue - and this BOSCH unfortunately doesn't live up to it's reputation.

Quiet and amazing at cleaning

I love my Bosch dishwasher. This machine is so quiet and cleans great. It is so quiet that you have to be careful when it is running to not open it. It might splash water out at you if you open the machine while it is running - and it really is so quiet that you don't know it is running. I wish there was a light on the front that let you know it was running. That would be a great improvement. I also really like how this dishwasher cleans. You don't have to rinse or scrap your dishes - just put them in and they come out clean. In fact, the instruction manual says it cleans better if the dishes are a little dirty - not sure how it does that but it seems to work. Bonus that it is energy and water efficient.

This Bosch dishwasher stands up to its name

This is the first Bosch product I have owned and I have to say i am impressed. We purchased this brand because it was discounted at a local high end appliance store. It was a great price has a sleek design and matched our decor so we were sold. I was thinking it would just be ok after all we did get a good price but it has been great. It is very quiet, holds alot of stuff I like the setup of the racks it is pretty conveint for many different items, bottles, plates, nipples, brushes, cups whatever I need to wash it seems to do the job. My only complaint is sometimes you have to be careful on what you load if you want it to wash everything but this goes with anything. I cant even hear it when it is running and my dishes always come out clean.

Bosch = Best

We were rather reluctant to spend the equivalent of 3 times our old dishwasher but my wife and I were doing a major remodel of our kitchen and upgraded all the other appliances. We got separate Subzero fridge and freezers and a Dacor range and oven. So, we decided to go for a high end dishwasher, which we use all the time. I'd have to say that it was well worth the money! When they say it's so quiet that you can't tell it's on you better beleive it! Several times I've opened the dishwasher to add more plates and found it running. I didn't bother to look for the red light shining at the foot of the washer. It's a great feature...if I had bothered to look for it. Luckily, it just pauses and returns to the cycle without a hiccup. I love the adjustable racks and baskets. There isn't anything I can't fit into it without a little adjustment and the fact that there's no heating coil so I can put my plastic ware on any rack is convenient. I also love the fact that all the controls are hidden so it has a real clean appearance which was also important sicne we got all new cabinetry. You won't regret this purchase!!

Bosch Dishwasher

We recently purchased this dishwasher, so I can't really comment too much on the longevitity of the product.  However, at this point I am very happy with our decision.  The layout of the rack and silverware basket did take some getting used to coming from a Whirlpool that had the silverware rack on the inside door panel.  The outside is nice and sleek, and matches our other appliances.  This is the lower end Bosch model, so cost wise it was very comparable to Whirlpool, LG, and GE.  I like the engery efficiency and water saving options that this model has, and I am really in love with the half-load wash option.  The only complaints I have is that it seems to take longer to run a single load (however, my dishes come out sparkeling), and the dishwasher alarms once it is done.  I do think the alarm is something I can change, but I haven't sat down to read the owners manual to find out how to disarm that feature.  Overall very happy with purchase

Gets the job well done!

You can't go wrong with a Bosch Dishwasher!  We initially purchased a different brand of dishwasher (to match our refrigerator and stove) and boy were we incredibly disappointed!  The cleaning ability was not up to par.  So we got rid of that one promptly and went straight for this Bosch.  Haven't been disappointed.  The look of the front is very minimalist (very classy as well).  The buttons are hidden on the inside door, which we like.  I am also fond of the way the racks are designed and how they hold things as well as the utensil holder.  We have never had a problem with our dishes not coming out sparkling clean.  The cycles are a little long and the dishwasher was pricey, but very much worth the purchase!  Another huge plus is that it's relatively quiet when it runs too.  Our previous dishwasher was very loud and it was hard to ignore it when it was running.  Not at all the case with Bosch.  I highly recommend!

so quiet!

We recently replaced our old whirlpool dishwasher with this bosch model.  The whirlpool wasn't cleaning as well anymore and we found it to be extremely noisy - so loud that we would have to turn the volume up on the television to drown it out!!  We have had the bosch for about a week now and it is so much better!!  We got the stainless steel model which matches all our other kitchen appliances.  The cleanliness of our dishes, glasses and cutlery is amazing in comparision.  We also like the ability to move the cutlery dispenser around depending on what has been loaded.  The other nice feature is the ability to wash really tall items like cutting boards etc..  the top shelf comes all the way out and there is a plastic gadget to put in there for a different spray configuration.  The best thing for us is how quiet it is when it runs.  You can barely hear it at all.  Thankfully, there is a red indicator light that shines on the floor to let you know it's running.  We highly recommend this dishwasher!!!

So quiet, we forget it's on.

We love the sleek look of this stainless steel dishwasher and its modern handle in our kitchen. Buttons are hidden on the top panel of the door, so you can't see them when the door is closed. This is a nice look, plus our curious toddler can't start the dishwasher like he does at his grandparent's house.  Pros: It's so quiet, we forget it's on (except when it's done and starts beeping every 15 minutes for an hour--we haven't figured out how to turn that off!) Dishes are always clean. Our old dishwasher left debris on our glasses--gross! Does not use a central water tower that takes up rack space and limits loading flexibility in the lower rack. Its water usage is 45% better than the average new dishwasher, according to the Energy Department. It has a filter you can clean, but we've never needed to do much with that. Cons: some of our large bowls don't fit well in the rack spaces, but I know that's true with all dishwashers.  Beeps loudly when finished.
