Bosch's 500 Series Electric Range looks stunning in the kitchen and works great, but in the end, it couldn't pass the durability test. When we had our Bosch Electric Range, we were amazed at how well it functioned. The stove top without the raised up burners were new to us. The stove top cooks exceptionally well, and it cooks evenly. It was a major upgrade compared to a stove with burners. The oven is a convection oven, so everything also gets cooked evenly. It also is cooked much faster, due to the convection. This comes in handy when you are baking. You don't have to worry about turning the pan or checking to make sure your cakes or cookies are cooking evenly. The coolest feature was that this a self-cleaning oven. How cool is that? The performance of this oven is amazing; however, about 5 years after we bought it, the handle part with the front of it came off and we couldn't open the oven at all. We had to call the manufacturer for parts and it was such a hassle to fix the front of it. He told us it has happened to others as well. With such a major problem, I wouldn't recommend this model, although it worked great when we had it.
