I was researching baby bottles when I was pregnant and I learned about the dangers of baby bottles made with Bisphenol-A (BPA) which leaches into fluid inside the bottle and can cause health problems over time.
At the time, BornFree was the only brand I could find that did not contain BPA so I bought them. I bought both the 5 oz and 8 oz sizes knowing I would be needing a bigger size in the future.
Overall, these are good bottles. They have an air vent that reduces the amount of air that your baby ingests and thus, reducing the chances of colic. There are also very strong; many times...
review »I love the BornFree Bisphenol-A Free Plastic Baby Bottles. I like having peace of mind that the plastic is not leaching harmful chemicals when I am heating milk in the bottle or washing it in hot water. I like the shape (wide neck) and style of this bottle. I exclusively breastfed and my son didn't have any problems taking pumped milk from these bottles. Milk was easy to heat in the bottles, just popped it into a cup of hot water for a few minutes. Milk did not leak with the cap on, which I know is a problem for a lot of bottles out there! The cons for this bottle is that there are...
review »These are expensive but definitely worth it! My daughter loves these bottles more than any other bottle and I have every single brand out there literally! lol. one thing i really recommend with this bottles is to wash them everyday or else theyll get mold on them. and trust me is hurts to throw away a ten dollar bottle. i left the milk in there for 2 days and it was over 90 in tempature and i had to throw away the bottle because of mold.
When I was pregnant, all of the news about BPA came out and I found myself wondering what botles to get. At that point most bottles weren't "BPA free" yet. I found the Born Free brand while registering and decided they were right for me. I loved the starter pack that had 2 bottle sizes, different flow nipples, a sippy cup, handles, etc. It was a great way to get my collection going. I actually got 1 as a gift off of my registry and loved it so much I decided to go back and get another. I have since bought another pack of large bottles and now sippy spouts. You can turn the bottles...
review »I switched to Born Free bottles for my son after a bad experience with mold in Dr. Brown's bottles. These are MUCH better!
Pro's: All parts are dishwasher safe and clean easily in dishwasher. BPA free! Multiple stages of nipples as your child develops- also great if you have to add rice cereal to the bottle for an acid-reflux baby like my son. Available in 5 oz and 9 oz sizes. Wide-neck makes pouring concentrated or ready-to-feed formula into the bottle much easier. Helps to prevent ear infection and gassy bellies by stopping suction in the bottle-- air flows through the vent to the bottom of the...
review »I really wanted to use a BPA free bottle with my 3rd and final baby. Before he was born, I bought a Born Free, Green to Grow and Dr Brown's glass bottle to try. The Born Free was by far the best for baby. It does have several pieces to wash and put together but all are dishwasher safe and are very easy to put in a basket in the dishwasher. (These are so much easier to put together thank the Dr Brown bottles I used with previous children). My son had reflux and Born Free bottles really did seem to help with this and the amount of air he was taking in. I also like the fact that the diffrent...
review »I absolutely love my baby's BornFree Bisphenol-A Free Plastic Bottles Baby Bottles. I breastfeed and my baby can easily transition between the breast and these nipples when I pump and use the bottles. I love that they are BPA free as well and that bornfree was one of the first companies to really make th effort to offer bpa free products to help keep our little ones safe. They do have several pieces to keep track of with the two piece suction valve and all, but I really like these bottles, so it's worth the effort. I thought that because I loved the bottles so much that the training and...
review »These BornFree bottles are great- we have the 6 oz. and 8 oz. bottles plastice bottles. They are easy to clean and simple to set up- no messy plastic bags to mess with. The bottles are also BPA free. My son has no difficulty feeding with these bottles. I am also able to store breast milk and have it readily available for my son to eat.
Bottles come with caps that prevent spills and make them easy to travel with.
I bought these bottles when the big BPA scare was all over the place! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these bottles!!! The nipples are so natural! My son was breastfed and bottle fed and these bottles helped make the transition the smoothest possible. These bottles also prevented gas and air bubbles making my son's feeding experience the most comfortable it could be. 2 THUMBS UP!
Born Free plastic bottles are great! I am very impressed with the shape and how easy they are to clean. I was using Dr Browns for so long and although I did like them they were time consuming to clean...who has the time?
I also love that my baby loved them. The nipple is the perfect shape and easy for him to hold. They are also very durable and I love that they are BPA free!
The best baby bottles are the breast. If for some reason you can not use the breast or just choose not to, the second best choice is born free bottles. They are BPA free.
My child did so well with Born Free Bottles. They are dishwasher safe and only have 3 pieces. My child was breast and bottle fed and seemed to do really well going back and forth.
I wanted bpa (bisphenol a) free bottles for my daughter born last October, and at the time, Born Free (BF) were all I found. Fortunately, there are now more options: http://zrecs.blogspot.com/2007/07/z-report-bisphenol-in-polycarbonate.html. But back to BF.
Pros:
--Bpa free plastic, plus a glass option.
--Silicone nipples are "modern". By this I mean they have a wide base at the bottom of the long nipple (like Avent). As opposed to the Evenflo glass bottles, which still have what I call the "1950's" nipple that our parents used (i.e., short stubby nipple without a "base" of any kind to mimic the...
Born Free Bisphenol- A Free plastic bottles are a godsend. My twin nieces used these bottles. They are plastic which is green and safe to use. They are strong and sturdy and easy to hold. The air flow system is a great edition. The air vent prevents colic in babies. They are BPA Free which is great for the environment. The ease of use is amazing. Other bottles are harder to handle and are bad folr the environment.Easy to travel with these bottles. The caps are great and do not fall off. These bottles are a great comfort to new mothers and babies as well.We need more companies to follow this example and...
