When my oldest daughter was pregnant with her first baby and my first grandchild last year, it opened up a world of lots of new products on the market for babies to me.  When she showed me her gift registries,  I noticed several new products that were not available when i had my… read full review »

If I could do over I would not have bought this for a nursing pillow. It was big and bulky and most importantly offered no back support like My Breat Friend does. After using the boppy a bit I was really sorry I hadn't bought a pillow with back support. — —  That said it does have… read full review »

A nursing pillow of any kind can make nursing much more comfortable for the inexperienced mom and baby team. The Boppy with removable slipcovers is great because anything that comes in recurrent contact with a baby needs to be washable. You can put your whole Boppy in the washing machine if you slip it around the center pole, but that's only necessary in extreme situations. When those situations do arise, it holds its shape very well but takes a long time to dry. For the ordinary drool and dribbled milk, it's much easier to just throw the slipcover in the laundry and put on another one. My… read full review »

I love my boppy; however, if I were to make a list of what you absolutely need for a new baby - it would not make the cut. Here's why: — — First, the boppy isn't built for all sizes. I am on the bigger side and the boppy did not fit comfortably around me. If you are smaller, you will have no problem, but I think they should make a special boppy for those who aren't blessed to be a size 8 after they give birth. — — Second, it doesn't really help with breastfeeding all that much. I used it a couple times with the aid of other pillows and such - but the boppy… read full review »

I didn't want to go overboard on buying baby stuff, and thought the boppy was just one more marketing gimmick that didn't really serve a purpose.  Boy, was I wrong! — — I nursed my baby for the first 2 months without it - I used regular pillows, rolled up blankets, whatever was handy.  It worked, but I found myself having a lot of pain in my wrists and arms from holding the baby up, and in my back from having to lean at uncomfortable angles to properly position the baby.  And my preemie baby only weighed about 6lbs at this point! — — I decided to give… read full review »

I nursed all three of my children, but did not get my first Boppy until I had #3 (my son.)  With my first two children, I learned how to nurse them using regular pillows as support.  Two weeks after having my son, I suffered from muscle spasms in my neck that made it difficult and painful to hold him while nursing.  A friend recommended the Boppy to me, and I decided to pick one up to try it.  I paid $20 for it, but it was worth so much more! I ended up using it at every day-time feeding for the next couple of months and got to enjoy that bonding time with my son… read full review »

So, I'm a new mommy...6 months to be exact. My husband and I couldn't be enjoying our little boy more. I was one of those lucky few who had oodles of friends and co-workers and family with babies and kids older then ours who willingly handed over all of their old baby stuff. I mean seriously. I got high chairs, bags and bags and bags and bags of clothes, toys, bottles, gadgets and yes... the boppy. A brand new never used boppy. —  I mean when I first saw this thing I was thinking how embarassing that thing is going to be clamped around my husband's waist. Over the last 6 months we… read full review »

This has to be one of the best inventions for first time breast-feeders!  It helps support the baby and get her at the right level so that mom can use both hands to get the rest of the activity squared away (which can be a real challenge at first!).  It is especially helpful for the 'football hold' which is how I fed my daughter for the first few weeks.  — After a while I found that the boppy was more of a nuisance to use while breastfeeding than as a helpful support, so now I use it to prop up my baby.  She can face forward on it (in a modified… read full review »

The Boppy is one of the best things that ever happened to me as a breast-feeding mom.  With my first child I did not have one because they just seemed to expensive and bulky.  However, with my second I decided that I would have one no matter the cost.  I have never been happier with a baby product.  It was everything that it claimed to be and more.  It is not only useful for breastfeeding, but for propping the baby up.  It is also useful for propping up babies who are bottle feeding.  It is also firm enough that I did not have to worry about suffocation… read full review »

The boppy pillow makes those first months home with baby so much easier.  When I had my kids, we could only use bed pillows that would flatten, usually just as the little one really latched on and we were both comfortable!  The boppy pillow doesn't shift or flatten, and even makes it possible for the new big brother or sister to hold the baby safely supported for pictures, feeding, or just bonding--with you close by but hands free to snap that perfect picture.  If your little one has reflux, or just likes to see what's up, it is a godsend.  Covers are readily available and… read full review »

The boppy pillow is one of the many things I registered for the first time around that it turned out I didn't really need. I found it difficult to position it properly while holding my firstborn (inexperience and fear probably made things worse) when he was an infant. I also found that I didn't necessarily nurse in the same spot in the house every time and so didn't always have it handy. I personally prefered a much simpler pillow under the arm on the appropriate side.  I breastfed my first child for 12+ months without any formula and I'm on month 13 with my second. — The… read full review »

I intended on using this product when I breastfed, but when my son wouldn't take to the breast, I felt I had no uses for this product. BUT I was wrong! My son is learning to hold his bottle himself and this is the perfect pillow to lay him back on while he eats. He is also sitting up by himself now and this pillow wraps around him just perfectly without holding him up completely. He sat in it when he was learning to sit up and it held his balance for him. But now, I just slide it behind him, barely touching his legs, not his back so that if he falls backwards, he won't land on the floor. I… read full review »

I really liked my Boppy pillow. I bought one cover and my mom made me a few spares. I have to say that I like the "Nest" pillow that I got from JoAnn's even better, though... it was stuffed more firmly and was a little taller. Both made nursing much more comfortable and were much more comfy for my and my daughter than stacking regular pillows. I liked that I could stand up and support both the pillow and my daughter while I grabbed something and didn't have to rearrange things like with regular pillows. My Boppy survivied a couple of gentle washings in a front loader with a bit of… read full review »

The Boppy pillow is great! I got one with my first baby and continue to use it with my second.  It's been through a lot, but is still holding up great.  Since my first was a boy and is blue, I have a lot of covers to use with my daughter! It keeps her up in the right position while I feed her.  Also, with her, I pump and give bottles and it's great for that, too.  I can put her in my lap and give her the bottle and it doesn't hurt my arm! It is very sturdy. Definitely a must-buy for parents!  Also, I like to use this when I'm sitting on the floor for long periods of… read full review »

I received my bobby bare naked as a shower gift. I liked the fact that I could put whatever color cover on it that I wanted. I used it a little while breastfeeding but found that I was more comfortable with out it. — I used the bobby more to sit the baby on to look around and see things. He would sit for a long time and look at his toys when he was very little. Once he got bigger we used it to help him sit up. With the bobby around him if he fell there was a little cushion there to help. — I found that I got more use out of it for the baby then I did for myself. A… read full review »
