As a complete and total lip balm addict, I was happy to find the Boots Moisturizing Lip Butters on the shelf at Target last weekend.  Of the two flavors available, I selected the Mediterranean Grape, Olive, & Nectarine version because I preferred the scent.

This lip butter comes in a 0.5 fluid ounce jar which is very large for this type of product.  It is a translucent lavender color and has a smooth but still semi-firm texture.  To me, the scent is a light grape one with a hint of sweet tangerine.  I do have to point out that I have had a cold for the past two weeks and it is prime allergy season here in NJ... Point being that my take on the Boots Mediterranean Grape, Olive, & Nectarine Moisturizing Lip Butter fragrance could be a bit off as I have been fairly congested for as long as I've used it.

What I like about this Boots Lip Butter is the fact that it has a smooth texture that spreads easily across my mouth.  I like to apply a thick layer of lip balm and it is easy for me to do with this stuff because it is low-gloss and colorless.  I can add as much as I want, even in the middle of teaching a class, without worrying about winding up with porn star mouth.

The negative on this lip balm is the fact that it absorbs so quickly into skin and needs to be reapplied like every 10 minutes, even when I apply a thick layer and sit quietly without eating, drinking, or speaking.  I've used 1/4 of the 0.5 fluid ounce tub already in just four days which is incredible, and not in a good way.  As much as I like the texture, fragrance, and inexpensive cost ($4) of Boots Mediterranean Grape, Olive, & Nectarine Moisturizing Lip Butter, it just doesn't last long enough for me to add it to my lip balm repertoire.  I won't buy this one again.
