I saw Mckenzie Phillips on Oprah and I wantd to go out and buy her new book and read it.So I orderedit from Amazon because even though the wait is about 4 days I got in new condition 12 dollars cheaper.Anyways this book was so fast.I felt sorry for McKenzie but at the same time one had to really wonder if the drugs didnt distort  reality? Then again as far as the incest went it gave a brief discription.I was gald sh wanted to help others and stuff but in a way I had o wonder if it was real and I know I hate to say that but so much drug activity went on in this book that it just made me kind of wonder about all of it and I would hav likd to see a little bit more to the story beause it is like a very fast pace book.Running, running and running as quickly as possible. What did everyone else think?

I wouldn't waste money on anything Mckenzie Phillips wrote.

I have watched her acting and her interviews since she was 15 and she has told so many different stories & issued so many retractions that she has no credibility at all.

The kindest way I could think about her is that after doing so many drugs she is incapable of seperating fiction from fact.

McKenzie Phillips is definately one of those people who has done to much dope and after reading her book I had ot question if she actually knew reality from fiction. Her book was very, very fast thats the best way to describe it,it was almost like your were running through the book if you know what I mean and I was not to sure after reading if the things I had read were true or not eaither. All i can say is that dope has played so much a part of her life that I am not even sure of she even knows the truth.I did like One Day At A Time,to me it was really good but everyone has to decide for themselves. Thanks for commenting on my review.

The title  was all I needed to know. Not gonna read it. This is old-school sensationalism at its "best".  There's some show on TV called "Kurt Cobain - The Last 48 Hours." Just as pathetic.

Let's celebrate people who DON'T live out of control lives for a change. I'd buy a book about someone who's lead a good life much quicker even if it was boring.

I agree we need alot more great things to happen in the world but drug addiction to me is very much alive and it controls so many lives and i destroys everything that people are.No one can fully understand it until they have walked that path. This book to me was fabricated and after reading it,it almost seemed confussing she may have been high when she wrote it.It sure did seem like it.Thanks for your post.

I just wish they'd given it a far less sensationalistic title. To me, that title is very Pro-Drug sounding, like a SNL joke. Nothing funny about it. Ask John Belushi.

Not interested. I don't like when people attack others who can't speak for themselves. Sayings he had a 10 year affair with her father when he isn't here to say anything back sickens me  She should have written a book when he was here to actually respond to those allegations. Besides, why is she writing all of this anyway? Money. I won't give her mine.

Thats true too.I think if she was gonna bring it up she should have done it when he was alive too.I read the book because I seen it in Oprah and just wanted to see what was in it.Curiosity I guess but after reading it ,it was just like I said.It was like everything was so fast in it and you almost though the author was high while wiriting it.Crack and other things distort reality so I really dont know if what happend ,actaully happend or she was just high and she thought it did.I do know that kids who have been abused in that sort of way when it comes to a parent being the one who does it well the person may feel guilty and even though it was wrong and  a parent ,they dont always wish to hurt that person. It is a conflictive issue the child or women still loves the parent. They just dont love the crime.I am not saying this was the case here but stuff like this does happen and sometimes people dont talk about it for years.
