Bones —

While some people may find that the program may be too gory of many younger viewers, "Bones" ensures that proper scientific names of body parts, material, and the like are placed in front of the viewer.

"Bones" never talks down to its audience, nor does it talk over their heads. The interpersonal relationships is the thread that pulls the whole thing together. The program doesn't sugar coat the destructive nature of humans, nor does it hide the empathic nature either.

The female leads are strong women who are completely different:

Dr. Brennan - Bones - a forensic anthropologist with poor people skills but still manages to make friends with Angela, a free spirit, and willing, at times, to be shown how sterile life is inside a lab

Angela Montenegro - artist, brings a face to the departed, brings a face to the perpetrator, she is open and friendly and willing to do anything to keep her little "family" together

Cam - a former police officer turned medical examiner, can be uncomprimising when necessary but willing to fight for the rights of her co-workers and the victims she sees

These three women pull together and bring their male co-workers together. The male leads are strong men in their own right:
