Bon Appetit Cookbook  —

This is a wonderful cookbook for the ADVANCED cook.  It is well illustrated, well desinged and organized into logical categories.  The ingredient lists are simply stated and grouped.  The serving sizes are also labeled with helpful information in case you make and store individual servings (this is rare in most cookbooks).  The majority of the recipes, however, are fairly advanced and time consuming.  You will need to not only know certain techniques (that aren't explained or outlined in the cookbook) but you'll also need to have special cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc in order to properly execute the recipes.  This cookbook can add to a wonderful cooking experience if you have the time but for those of us with real lives and stress, it might see more time on the shelf than use.  Buy only if needed.
