To the PointA couple of years ago my mom fractured her arm. I was in Florida for 6 weeks! When physical therapy was ending I suggested that we get her a dumbbell to strengthen her hand(s). We chose Bollinger. She wanted to get the 3-pound dumbbell. If you are coming off a shoulder injury please talk with your doctor. I have had shoulder injuries. I suggest starting with one pound. You can use a 16-ounce can. You don't have to buy a 1-pound dumbbell and work up to 3-pounds.
