Let me start off by saying that this lotion smells just like the cucumber melon from bath and body works. I love the look of the bottle and the smell is wonderful. I get the great scents I love without over paying and the added convenience of them being at my local store where I shop anyway is great. I no longer have to stand in the lines at the mall to get my body lotions. Scent The scent is great. Every time I put it on I instantly think of summer. It smells fresh and clean. The smell is light and slightly sweet. I did notice that the smell attracts a lot of bees if I am outside that is my only complaint but that is not going to stop me from wearing it. Absorption This lotion absorbs fast without making my skin oily or leaving a film on it. I have a hard time using lotions with perfume because I have a skin condition that makes me break out easy. I have not had any problems using this lotion or any of the other bodycology lotions or sprays. Effectiveness My dry knees and elbows are no more. I am going to keep trying different lotions from this brand to find which ones I like the most. There are a few really good ones. The vanilla sugar is really good too. I highly recommend this product.

Dry skin became a major problem for me once I became menopausal.  Since I like to try new things I thought I would see how **Bodycology Hand & Body Lotion "Cucumber Melon" **faired among the other popular brands on the market.  I give them 5 stars for the scent, it is ravishing.  The lotion went on nice and smooth and my skin did feel refreshed for a very short while.  About a 1/2 hour later, I noticed that I felt sticky all over.  An uncomfortable sticky.  I went in to the shower just to take it off.  Bodycology is made with great products:  hydrating aloe vera; moisturizing shea butter and nourishing vitamins E & C.  I'm guessing that my unpleasant reaction is due to my skin make up.  My mother had serious allergies to many chemicals when applied to her skin over the years, so I don't put the blame on Bodycology.  It just doesn't work for me.  I'm actually saddened because I would have loved to try some more of their products.  I had my eye on their anti-bacterial foaming hand soap.  I would suggest that you try this product before you buy it.

I recently received a sample package of Bodycology's Cucumber Melon scented hand and body lotion, and because that is my all time favorite combination of scents I gave it a shot, even though I am usually disappointed with most products (I am kind of picky when it comes to lotions and creams, I guess.) Color me pleasantly surprised with this lotion. It smooths on easily, and a little goes a long way, even on my somewhat dry skin. And the fragrance is really lovely. The manufacturer describes it as "fresh cucumber and melon mingled with silver freesia to create a crisp, cool fragrance" and it does exactly that. I'm going to enjoy using this during our hot, dry south west summer months. I only gave it a four star rating because it isn't the most moisturizing lotion that I have ever used, but then again it doesn't leave my skin sticky or slimy after use, either. And a big thumbs-up for the fact that it isn't tested on animals!
