I purchased a Spinner Sport bike off an infomercial one morning and I deeply regret it. Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic bike for someone serious about exercise. I purchased it on a whim, thinking it would be similar to other stationary bikes. I was very wrong. This bike has a very hard, narrow seat on it that makes it very difficult to ride. In the exercise DVD that comes with the bike, the trainer makes a comment that you will get used to the seat. I've had it for a year now and I'm not used to it yet. I tried to purchase a gel seat for it, but have been unable to find one that fits correctly. For beginners, you are instructed to ride for 15-20 minutes for the first week or two, but I find it almost impossible to ride the bike for even this long because the seat is so uncomfortable. The handlebars on the bike also seem to be set a little low for my comfort. It seems that I have to bend over a little more than I would prefer. I have tried to adjust the seat and handlebars to a more comfortable position, but have not been able to find one. Aside from the seat and the handlebars, I think the bike is built very well and it offers a different, more intense work out than your typical stationary bike. I was able to purchase it on an installment plan and the monthly amount was deducted automatically from my bank account. My last payment was in March and I have had no problems with any of the transactions. The bike is extremely heavy, which is what prevented me from returning the bike, as the return shipping would have cost me approximately $70.00; however, it does have wheels on the front to make it easier to move. Despite its weight and size, I was able to move it down the stairs in my apartment by myself.
I think if I were a more serious exerciser/bike rider, I would really love this bike and I wouldn't have the same issues with it I do now. I feel that this is a great exercise bike for serious people, it just doesn't really fit my needs.
