I'm not a huge fan of Tea Tree Oil in general or The Body Shop's Tea Tree line but I was looking for a product to really deep clean my skin after working out in the heat and humidity of the summer. I happened to be discussing this with a friend and she suggested that I try The Body Shop's Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator. She swore it was the best exfoliator out there. I was hesitant but I bought some anyway and I'm so glad I did! Now, the Tea Tree scent is not my favorite and never will be but it does give your skin a nice tingle and leave you feeling fresh and clean. Thankfully the scent does not linger once you're done using the product. This is one of the very best products I have ever tried to get that icky sweaty, sticky film off my skin when I workout in the summer. It thoroughly cleans my skin and leaves it fresh and clean and very soft. It never feels dry but it's also not greasy. It's just clean and soft and does not need any other products which is perfect for the summer time.

I am pretty loyal to The Body Shop's teat tree skin care line, I have to admit that I prefer thee seaweed exfoliator to the tea tree. My skin didn't work well with the seaweed cleanser, and it felt like I had to wash my face twice to get the same results that the tea tree cleaner did. With that being said, both my husband and myself love this exfoliator and use it two through three times a week depending on what my skin has been through that week. This exfoliator does it's job perfectly. I'd recommend it to anyone with combination, oily, or sensitive skin. Just make sure you don't scrub your face hard when using this, or any exfoliator, as it could damage your skin. I use this product before I use my face mask as well, since it gives my face a good clean canvas that will let the mask work even better on my skin. Effectiveness I noticed a difference in my skin in about a week and a half. Scent It smells a bit like the ocean.

The beads on this exfoliator are bigger and alot more of them compared to the tiny and fewer beads I found in my total effects cream cleanser. Because the beads are bigger and are more in number I don't feel that all of the beads slowly rolling away from may face and go towards the spaces in between my fingers down to my palms like the beads in the olay facial cream cleanser's beads do. The lather isn't too thick either, it's more of the beads that I move around my face until I feel that the wetness is slowly disappearing. I use it about two to three minutes especially around my t zone are where I get alot of black heads, where I am oily, and where my pores are quite visible. The feeling I get after I rinse is a very soft and velvety clean on my face. I am not sure about the exfoliation I actually get because every so often I use a pore tape on my nose to try and lift off black heads. If anything this exfoliator cleanser is a good cleanser. It takes my make up off and if I forget and go over my eyes, it takes off the sticky eyeliner and mascara, too. So I don't see any left over dark gel-creamy crud at the outer corners of my eyes which would be the remnants of my eyeliner and mascara from today's make up. So compared to the olay cream cleanser (with only some beads), I don't do a do over on my eyes to clean any remnant make up, besides, the most exfoliator instructions say not to use this exfoliator on your eyelids anyway.

The Body Shop's Seaweed Facial Cleanser has just been incredible for beating that sticky, sweaty summer skin.  I was skeptical when I first tried it in the store, but using it at home, I have seen a big difference in the way my face looks, especially later in the day after tramping through the heat.  My pore size has decreased, and oiliness in the afternoon has really diminished.  I also love that my face smells wonderful after using this product.  I've noticed in the past that some facial cleansers leave my face feeling dry and a little itchy.  I don't have terribly sensitive skin, but it is nice to know that there is a product out there that is gentle enough for my needs and leaves my face feeling hydrated but clean.  The price is a little high for the amount of product you get, but I've found that a little goes a long way.  The lather is rich and comes on quickly, but it also washes away easily - a small dab is enough for my whole face.  I highly recommend trying this product if you have combination skin or suffer from humidity-induced blemishes.
