This plastic-based french press does a great job of making one cup of coffee. When I first bought it (for the price and size) I thought the plastic would be detrimental, but it does not affect the taste of the cup of coffee. It is a nice single cup brewer for a single person, but if you have a family or frequent guests I recommend a french press of a larger size, as you can always use a large press to make one cup.
It has a second filter at the pour spout and seems to produce a rich flavored cup every time. Bodum is a reliable name, but has become more affordable by using more plastic parts in their recent products. The price decrease has not reflected in quality of construction. Though plastic, the press is reliable and highly functional. I actually prefer it to their one cup stainless steel model.
Writing this just makes me want to use it now.
