Let's talk Coffee again. I am a coffee lover. It doesn't have to be the fancy, expensive coffee. I love it all. I have written on coffee I love before. But this, this is a little different. This is like when you love a song but hate the singer.
A few months ago, I decided to try some samples of coffee from a company called Boca Coffee. They offered everything from swiss cocoa to irish creme and my favorite, French Vanilla. I am always ready to try new tastes and so I anxiously awaited my shipment to come. When it arrived, I happily opened the coffee and made a pot. The coffee was good, no doubt about it. It had a rich, robust flavor and started my morning off just right. But one order was really all I wanted from them. I had other names that I had come to prefer as far as gourmette coffee. {I still love a good cup of Folgers with some coffee-mate french vanilla in it.}
Recieving an e-mail telling me another shipment was ready to go, I responded kindly and said No thank you. I received a message saying that I could not cancel online but would need to Call them instead. That's cool, I thought. When I called, I was greeted by Ms. Rude.She told me I could not cancel and that if I did, she would charge my account 25.00 for cancelling. When I asked why, she told me because I had opened the coffee and tried it. I asked her to repeat herself and she said, if you open the coffee you MUST accept another order for 36.00
O.k, it was a sample order and I struggled anddddddddd argued that I could NOT know if I wanted the coffee unless I opened it and tried it. She again told me I could NOT open it or I would be charged for another shipment. I explained once again that I HAD to open it to TRY it. Was that really hard to understand. She said fine and I assumed, {there is that nasty word} that it was done. NOT so. Two weeks later, 35.00 dollars was taken from my account AGAIN!
I called my bank and they tried hard to help me. I called Boca Coffee AGAIN and got the same run around. Two weeks later, another 35.00 left my account! Orders came and were refused and still they wanted to take more. I was forced to cancel my bank debit card and my bank has sent letters of intent to collect the money back. In the mean-while, I am out my money and Boca sent me an e-mail saying that they tried to pull their money out and were denied. "Could I please resolve this matter with a check?" Are they serious????
Still unresolved, I thought perhaps the consumer might want to know that Boca Coffee is NOT a company to get involved with. they are rude, take money from your account with out authorization and they don't care if you like their product or not. Please do not be taken on by this comapny. Once they have your account number, they will take money without asking and send you shipments you Never ordered.
