I purchased this vibrating/body hugging/head&foot lifting monster about a year ago and to say the least I am not  a happy camper! The foam used in the manufacturing of this mattress seems quite different from the floor sample I laid on for about 1/2 hour straight in the showroom. The mechanics of the bed are truth in advertising - the massage feature has definitely been a plus as I have needed a massage nearly every morning because of my tossing and turning restless nights stuck between the 'folds" of the memory foam monster.... We were hesitant about buying a product from Bob's based on negative reviews, but we are very happy with our new Cirrus mattress. Try out all of the brands and models that you can and decide what is the most comfortable for you. Spend plenty of time laying on them in the showrooms. Once you decide on the style that you want, check out Bob's and his prices. If you buy the memory foam products, make sure that you purchase a cover (mattress can't be returned if it is stained or dirty and cover contains any fumes that might be disipated by the new foam) and break it in by walking on it as recommended for all memory foam mattresses. My husband and I were both waking up with back pain due to a well used matress. We went matress shopping one day and decided to look at the foam matresses so many people have been raving about. We bought a Bob o pedic in 2006, It has been NOTHING BUT GREAT!!!!!! The odor when New is a little strong,A little Fabreeze took care of the problem!!!! I have a VERY TENDER back due to a number of STUPID things that I did when younger!!!! This bed has allowed Me to roll out of bed with very little pain on must days. We like it so much that We have purchaced a second one for our guest room!!!!! Yes this one also had an odor when new, after afew sprays with fabreeze, Its odor free!!!! To those who rate is as "uncomfortable" it's silly that you even bought this bed. So to people thinking about purchasing one, try it out first!! I first tried the Tempur-pedic at Raymour & Flannagan and fell in love with it. I couldn't afford the $2400 price tag though... I stopped by Bob's for the heck of it to check out their memory foam mattress. I'm very glad I did. I bought the King for around $1200 at the time. I've had this bed for over 7+ years and have loved every single night's sleep I've had on it. I recommend it to every considering a new mattress. They say "Bobs???" and I say "Yes, Bob's. I know the commercials are a bit much, and sometimes (sorry) but the sales people are a bit like car salesmen), but the bed is the same exact thing you'd get at a more expensive furniture store. And it also has the same 20 warranty that the other Tempur-pedic's come with." If you buy it some place else, you're wasting your money. I LOVE my bed!!!!!!!!

Back Pains after a while

We got the mattress when we moved into our new place. At first it was great...best sleep in years. After the mattress started getting old, I first started getting back pains. I tried changing pillows, but nothing worked. My wife for the past 2 years has also had back pains when waking up. We both went and got tempurpedic pillows, but that still doesnt do any good.

Stay away from this mattress...once it starts to wear, it's terrible. Just over 4 years in, and I really want a new mattress but cant justify spending the money right now. We can sleep for 6-7 hours and be okay, but longer rest will result in lower back pain.

This is the best thing in Bob's! I have sciatica. I bought a Stearns & Foster bed less than two years ago. I ached EVERYDAY. I bought this bed and I will say I was TERRIFIED given all the negative reviews. Well, the smell was very, very mild -- (people Tempurpedic smells too it is the nature of the foam). My husband and I sleep so well on this bed. We have had it for 45 days now. I have NO problem with sheets, sweating or anything. What is a challenge is that this type of bed is affected by temperature (hence temp in 'temp'urpedic). So, that means if your house is really cold the mattress is firmer. We bought the Bob-o-pedic mattress 5 years ago. At first we thought it was a decent mattress for the money. Then after about 1 year my husband started complaining about his back pain in the morning. Fast forward 3 years, I've been waking up with serious pain in both my hips and knees. I wake up in the night with excruciating pain in my lower back. The kind of pain that takes your breathe away if you try to move even an inch. I have never had any back problems in my life - until now.

Oh and did I mention that we have a hump in the center of the bed the size of the Alps? We literally have to "climb" to lay in the center of the bed.

In 28 years, we have never had a mattress that had "valleys" like this.

Below was my initial assessement. After a little more than a week the bed has broken in nicely and it's getting better every day. Comfort, quality and a good value. There is an initial break in period, but then it's bliss.

I just got the Bob-O-Pedic Cirrus Dual model. I sure hope it gets a little softer. My first few nights have been torture! Feels like I'm sleeping on a rock! I should have gotten the plush model. My wife however loves it. It otherwise seems like a great quality mattress. It was delivered quickly. So every other aspect of the buying experience was good just the mattress is horrible too firm!

I had enough of my old mattress and the back and neck pain that came with it. I think it was over ten years old and it was time to seek out a new one. Like most people, I couldn't afford a high-end luxury brand so I decided to check out our local Bob's Discount.

Upon entering the store I Made a beeline for the mattress section and checked out some of the products. The sales guy was very nice and recommended the Bob-O-Pedic. I laid on the mattress and thought nice and comfy, not bad at all. The price was good too for a queen size only $599. After an hour of trying out the mattresses I liked I decided on the Bob-O-Pedic, so off I went and paid for it.

the first week we had our bob-o-pedic the chemical small was so bad i sleep on the couch.  Then it felt great to sleep on.  It's been a year now and my side sags, there is a "peak" in the middle that keeps my husband and i on our own sides at night.  Not that i sleep much with my husband anymore.  The mattress hurts his back so much he has been sleeping on the couch.  After a night on the mattress he can't bend over in the morning to put his own socks on.  However a night on any other surface and his back is fine.

I saved money on this mattress only to have to buy another in a year.  Wasn't much of a savings.

I was really excited to get a new bed. I went to Bob's and purchased one of their beds...a very firm...regular mattress and box spring. It killed my neck and I tossed and turned, but I had a guarentee and so I went back in and they convinced me to try the Bob-O-pedic. I was so excited when it arrived. I noticed a smell immediately and thhought it was from the plastic that protected it and that it would vanish. Well, it didnt. It was so strong ans so bad that my clothing, bed lines and entire room reek. I have to leave the window open because I cant breathe. I sleep so great though in it, but I honsetly think I am PASSING out, due to the intense fumes. It is unbelievable. My advice to you......Dont buy this bed....this bed will make you sicker than you can imagine....after only 2 weeks I am returning mine tomorrow...and the kicker...I have to wait 5-10 days to get my money back....so I have to sleep on the couch :(

We bought the Bob-o-pedic mattress 2 years ago.  I love it and I hate it! It did have a horrible smell when we first got it, but that has gone away.  For the most part the mattress is comfortable, but I wouldn't say it's incredible or the best mattress I've ever slept on.  When I am pregnant, I can't sleep in the bed.  I get very restless and find the mattress very uncomfortable.  When I am not pregnant, I find the mattress comfortable.  I have found that I do not toss and turn like I did on our old mattress.  My husband is not crazy about the mattress either.  It's not "uncomfortable", but it's just not like your sleeping on a cloud either! It does seem like the mattress makes us hotter and sweat more.  I'm not sure if that is the mattress or not.  We did get the cover that goes with the mattress for an extra $60.  If you have the money it would be nice to have a second cover so you can put new sheets on when the dirty ones are in the laundry.

In May, 2010, we purchased a queen size sleeper sofa for a guest room for which there has not yet been a guest, thankfully. 

When the mattress arrived, I detected a very strong odor.  Perhaps it is the stench common with a bed bug infestation?   Not entirely sure but an Exterminator could confirm. 

My young daughters and I watch television in the guest room periodically.  The first time after we had movie night, I went to fold the sleeper sofa in the closed position and we noticed a small brownish/black oval shaped bug walking across the underside of the mattress.  I flushed the bug thinking nothing of it.  Approximately, one week ago from today...

I can't even begin to explain how many things are wrong with this company.  First, they forgot to send over insurance papers I requested. Then, when they realized THEIR mistake, I was forced to wait another 3 days for the furniture.  Or at least I was told 3 days - imagine my surprise when I call on day 3 to find that the delivery was never scheduled. So I had to wait another 3 days. Furniture was supposed to come in the morning - first more insurance issues (which were never fixed), then delivery was cancelled. I had to put them on the phone with their own third party delivery team to get them to reapprove the delivery. Then more delivery issues. The furniture didn't get there unt...
