I love the idea of a quick and easy way to make pizza. But the Boboli falls far short of good pizza to  me.

What I did like was the minimal packaging and the fact that I dont have to pre cook a crust then add toppings and cook again. It is also good in that you can custom pick your own sauce and toppings, using a higher quality than you may find at a restaurant.

What I dont like is the aftertaste. It is somewhat bitter and tastes like bad preservatives or chemicals. I tried it a few times to be fair, but each one had the same bitter aftertaste.

I guess I have to stick with ordering my pizza out.

Haven't had it in awhile. Looks like we won't anytime soon either. Thanks.

Best thing to do, I think, is get the best ingredients possible. If one's on a tight budget, this might be tricky, but getting the pizza sauces and cheeses that taste the best sometimes means having to spend a tad more. Then there's the whole matter of compensating for the Boboli aftertaste...which means finding the right balance of sauce/cheese/other toppings to counteract it.

Very true. But I keep trying. Sigh.

I think it is worse in the Whole Wheat, but it is also there (to me) in the plain.

To me it is bitter and tastes like preservatives. I am intrigued, what do you do with the toppings?

I, too, have tried Boboli and have never gotten my pizzas to taste great. I've got the toppings bit down to a science, but yeah, the crust does have a strange taste to it.

What a dissapointment!

Some places actually make a crust like Boboli for their pizza. That's why we tried it when the product first came out and several times with no problems. But that was the plain. Never tried the whole wheat and don't think I will. Not big on funny aftertastes.

It's hard to get something instant that tastes as good as the real thing. :>

Thanks for the warning. This doesn't sound like a good option at all!
