I recently purchased Bobbi Brown's Rose Petal creamy lipstick and it has become my favorite. I bought it for special occasions and nights out in the summer but find I am using it daily. It's a beautiful medium, natural rose pink that is very flattering to my cooler toned skin. It's creamy so it's not going to last long unless you fill your lips in with a nude tone lip pencil first and put the lipstick over it.

Being a women of color I often run into difficulties trying to find just the right make up products that go good with my skin tone. When I look at magazines or celebrities endorsing certain brands even, rarely do I see someone that looks like myself, to compare against. I heard about the brand Bobbi Brown at my hair salon a few years ago. I have heard the name thrown around here and there but never inquired much into or saw even if the stores I regularly shopped at carried the brand. One day I was out and spent a pretty good amount of money on a very well known brand and was very disappointed in the way the product came out. On the package the color looked extremely nice, but on my face the shade didn't quite do what I had in mind. After that failed shopping attempt I went to target, and to my surprise they carried bobbi brown. I took that as a sign and tried it. The price is a little more than I'm used to, but the result has been fabulous. I've played around with different colors of their products, and really feel as if they were all made with women of color in mind.

Bobbie Brown cosmetics have been around for a very long time, and very expensive for the average working woman or anyone with a family.  I didn't find her semi-matte lipstick that creamy, just a flat color that came off very easy.  Being disappointed in my first try out goes without saying, but what is the big deal??? I don't get her product line..being au naturale?? why spend the money then??? I'll stick with "Nars" and "Laura Geller"  you get great products for your money.
