Boar's Head Pesto Parmesan Ham —

In the Xeno household there's always a refrigerator bin of cold cuts and cheeses.  I mean, isn't that why they invented bread?

For us, our brand of choice is Boar's Head.  Sure, there are other quality brands available, but we've been consistently pleased with Boar's Head quality.

For the most part though, we've generally bought their Turkey and Chicken Breast cold cuts in all varieties.  Mrs. Xeno is a fan of neither red meats nor hams.  Me?  I love it all!

So of course now that our daughter Jenna has gotten in the habit of taking a daddy-made Boar's Head sandwich with her to school each day, the good Mrs. thought that her likes (and dislikes) would be Jenna's. "Nuh-uh!"

Father Knows Best
Hey, I do the cooking here.  I know what she likes.  I see the Parmesan cheese she dumps on her Linguine with Pesto sauce.

Boar's Head Pesto Parmesan Ham
So when I was in Doris' Market the week before last and noticed the Boar's Head Pesto Parmesan Ham I had a hunch this would be a hit with my daughter.  I mean just how much Turkey and Chicken can one eat, right?

What we Like

Unlike a lot of cheaper cuts of ham used for cold cuts, Boar's Head Pesto Parmesan Ham has real body.  Not at all dissimilar from that spiral ham you might serve during the holidays.  Of course we slice it deli-thin, but still it doesn't have that wet, slippery consistency of so many lesser hams.

The seasoning.  If you like Parmesan and pesto this is a stone-cold winner.  I prefer to warm it up a little and top my sandwich with a premium Provolone and maybe a couple of crunchy leaves of ice burg lettuce and serve it on a coarse bread.  Pesto Mayonnaise?  A nice touch!

My Viewpoint
If you're looking for a really tasty deli-meat Boar's Head Pesto Parmesan Ham is a fine choice.  Boar's Head Brand is featured in Publix Supermarkets here in South Florida. It is highly recommended by both Rudi and Jenna Xeno.  Try it.

Good Eating!

Rudi

This must be a step or two above Spam. Is it served in a tin can with a peel-back lid ?!?
