Keeps child close, tether can be removed from backpack

My toddler loves walking when we're out.  However, he likes to run and hates holding hands.  I can't blame him.  When holding his hand, his little arm is stretched up above his head and I have to hunch over.  It's uncomfortable for everyone after a few minutes.  I got the Safe Fit Grow With Me Backpack with Harness because I wanted something a little less obvious than the plain harness with "leash" attached.  Several people who've seen it on my son were surprised that it had a tether - they thought it was just a little backpack.  The tether can also be removed, allowing your child to use the backpack by itself.

So far this has been a great product.  It allows my son to walk freely without having to have his arm above his head or tripping over the stroller while trying to hold onto that.  He has both hands free.  It also keeps him by my side.  I don't have to worry about him running and getting away from me.  And, let's face it, in this day and age, it's far too easy for someone to snatch a child who's parent's take their eyes off of them for a second.

I've gotten a couple disparaging remarks when out, but they're better than having my child screaming because he's bored being confined to his stroller or getting away from me and possibly into something dangerous - like a busy street!

This product is a must-have for parents with active toddlers!

I agree it is much better than letting them run free and getting hurt or snatched. If more parents cared as much then our children would be a lot safer. ;) Ron
