Blue Cross / Blue Shield —
I have dealt with B/C & B/S through my place of work. I have to get prior authorization for medications and procedures. These approvals waste time for the patient and the physicians. Most of the time it is the patient who pays as they either have to wait for an approval from the insurance review team, do a different procedure that the review team feels is adequate or try medications that they feel is the best choice. This takes away from the doctors expertise. Thanks for listening, jillern57@yahoo.com
