Blue Cross / Blue Shield —
My company decided about 2 years ago to switch from and HMO to Blue Cross. This is the worst insurance I've ever had!! They don't pay for ANYTHING, and even when you try to explain why it should be a covered benefit with doctors letters that explain this to them they STILL refuse to pay. I am in medical debt now because of the contract between my company and this insurance company. I had a total hysterectomy in December and had internal bleeding and they refuse to pay for $1500 of a part of that surgery even though my doctor submitted papers showing why it was a necessary part of the operation, so now I have to fight them to pay... guess my doctor should have let me bleed to death.
