In April 2007, the company I work for switched to Blue Cross/Blue Shield for medical insurance. I was skeptical of medical insurance companies as a whole due to less than productive experiences with the company we were using at the time. However, a couple of weeks after signing up with BCBS, my husband had a major medical emergency. The customer service representatives for BCBS were very helpful when the claims began rolling in. They took their time answering my questions and helped straighten out billing errors. To date, my experiences with BCBS have been very positive, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of medical insurance.
