An editor suggested that I keep a blog, so I checked around and decided to go with Blogger.com.
It was very easy to set up a blog with Blogger. It's even easier now. They have continued to add features over the years.
Blogger ties in with Google, so you can easily add the AdSense account if you want. You can also paste in some code in the template and see analytics through the Google home page.
As far as traffic, you can get quite a few visitors if you keep up your Blogger blog. On Memorial Day, I had over 800 visitors. Most days, I run around 200 people checking out my work.

review »I like this website because it allows you to blog as a team. You are not limited to one voice but have the option of posting several blogs by different authors. It is giving us an opportunity to be heard outside of our local community.
The service allows you to set up a blog without a whole lot of computer experience. Many of our authors are unable to read html, let alone write it. The step by step instructions provided to set up the blog allowed us all to be up and running within minutes. I believe that this is a great place for people with different levels of computer experience....
review »I absolutely love Blogger. I set one up simply to keep in touch with family and friends. I post info about what is going on in our lives. Every day life, trips, fun events, challenges, absolutely everything. This way our families who live all over the country can stay up to date with our kids growing up since we rarely get to see them. I'm not an author or anything. I just like it for personal use and have actually had my blog made into a book so I have a hard copy of what I think of as my journal. It's also fun to keep up with friends and family who live all over. It's way easier...
review »It's refreshing to be able to voice your opinion. I talk a lot so it was only natural for me to have my own blog. It's free of charge and exposure depends on your following. I don't have a large following yet. I've heard that your blogs should be frequent. I'm a busy mom, so I do it when I can. I suppose that could be a reason I don't have much of a following. It's a great site though. I'm proud to be able to voice my opinion in such a way so other people can read and relate to my material and give their own insight.
I must admit, I jumped on the stay-at-home-mommy blogger bandwagon when it first rolled out. I am an internet junkie. I use the internet for hours a day - reading, writing, etc.
As a professional writer and personal blogger, I have found that Blogger.com is one of the best sites around. It is easy to use, which is great not only for those who may be less computer savvy but also those who just may not have enough time to be computer savvy. The interface is similar to composing an email, complete with MS Word-type tools. It also has easy buttons to add hyperlinks, photos, and videos.
I have also...
review »Blogger.com was recommended by a friend and I have not regretted creating my first blog. Blogger is user friendly and there are several templates from which to choose. Yes, I went through several before making a decision. That is one of the things that make it special. Just keep testing the templates and layouts until you find one that you like.
It has been a learning process. Creating a blog is a bit different from writing the code for a web page. Blogger uses XML and that mark up language is a bit different. My experience has been with HTML, XHTML and CSS. I am always ready to learn different...
review »If you are contemplating a way to keep friends and family up to date on your life or if you just like to put your thoughts, ideas, or opinions on "paper" then I would highly recommend Blogger to you. I have had my personal blog www.liveoakbradybunch.com with Blogger for a little over a year and I absolutely love it. I can share funny stories about our family, keep family and friends that live out of state apprised of things going on in our life, and just share interesting facts that I have found with the world wide web. You can also very easily make your Blog your "own" by either using any...
review »I absoulutely LOVE using Blogger. I have never been very computer literate...however, Blogger makes blogging soooooo easy that even someone like myself can do it!
My brother had a blog on Blogger that I read all the time. I was so impressed by the set up and how he had polls and pictures on his blog also. One day we were talking about how I should start a blog about my son...and I told him that I wouldn't even know where to begin. He sent me the Blogger website and told me to try following the simple set up and if I had questions to call him and he would try to walk me through them. ...
review »Blogger.com is great for people who want to start a blog but don't have much (or any) web design knowledge. It's really easy to use, and there are a lot of ways to customize your blog. You choose a template, and then you can change the colors, add widgets in the sidebar, and more. You can also organize your posts by category, include pictures, and control who can comment on your blog. I like that the templates are professional-looking and there are no ads except a little bar at the top linking back to Blogger.
I had a blog on Blogger for a couple years but then I decided to switch my blog over...
review »Blogger (www.blogspot.com) is an easy way to keep in touch with all your friends. Account setup is free and the website offers free templates, so you don't even have to know HTML coding. Use it as a diary, online journal, or a place for you and your friends to share you thoughts and ideas. Excellent Way to stay in touch.
