Blockbuster Online — 

I met Netflix as a mystery shopper, which I signed up to get a movie a week for $4. They paid for it.  After a month I am to quit.  1 movie a week?  Takes 3 days to arrive in the mail, watch it & send it back & wait for another next week.  Pretty stupid......

Then Blockbuster, who wants $5 a movie at their store, started movies by mail for $15 a month for 3 movies sent to us.  So you log on, enter you QUE with movies you want to rent. Then they take your choices to mail to you.  Watch the movie & send it back or watch 2 movies & send them back or watch all 3 & send them back.  How ever long you want the movie is OK.  But when they get the movie back they send another off your que.

Then an email stating $19 a month & you can return them to the store for free movie switch.  So every Tuesday at 10AM I am outside their door with 3 movies to mail back & I get 3 first run rentals in exchange,  Get home go to the online site & see 3 MOVIES RETURN TO STORE & the next day 3 more movies show.  So 2 days to watch them & we are back at the store for 3 more. That is 9 movies a week, so we have 3 movies for Tuesday's new release date.

But lately they are taking their time sending us movies.  Guess 9 is too many for them, but for $26 that is good for us.  I returned movies to the store for 3 new releases & no movies showed.  When we contacted them they stated they haven't gotten the 3 movies back yet. So I have the Manager of the store confirm that the movies were scanned & entered into the computer, so somewhere in space her transmission went elsewhere????  She was ticked as I was.  So we got the next month at no charge.  Thanks Manager!!!!!

Blockbuster's web site was down yesterday, so this morning I learn no movie sent to us after we returned 3 movies we got last week on Friday. New movies should have been sent but nothing sent. So I just emailed them that 3 movies a week for $35 a month is a joke. WE WILL CANCEL if we do not receive 3 coupons to use today for new movies.

Just called the store in Brooklyn OH where we returned 3 movies on Friday & got 3 movies to watch & those were returned Monday in the drop box. The Blockbuster web site shows 3 movies returned to store but no new movies mailed to us, just like last week we are getting 3 movies a week + the 3 at the store. Not the contracted movies sent on return of the movies. SO I logged in & cancelled the account & it states we cannot cancel til we return the 3 movies which we did last Friday to the store. So I phoned the store & they tell me they cannot call to rectify the problem but gave me a phone enumber to call. One hour on hold til a Linda answers & tells me that we cannot cancel til 1/31/08 and that is only after we return the 3 movies they sent us last week. No new movies will be sent to us til they get them back. My husband yells that they were returned but they will not cancel the account & they will charge us $37,60 each month til they are returned. SO I phoned American Express & they are being charged back for the money they got 1/2/08 for bad service, rude treatment, and stating that they have no movies returned by us when their web site states it was within minutes of us leaving the store (we aways check when we get home).

SO BEWARE DEALING WITH BLOCKBUSTER..............

A week after I posted this, we get an email from Blockbuster that we are now paying $35 A MONTH FOR 3 MOVIE AT A TIME. Last week we got 3 movies and watched them & exchanged them for 3 others at the store. That was all of our movies for last week. Friday of last week we returned them, their site showed RETURNED TO STORE but on Monday we have no movies! If we are only gettimng 3 mailed & exchanged for 3 a week we will cancel FAST!

I just emailed them asking if they merged with Netflix since they are jerking folks the same way.
