I left Netflix (read my review of them and you'll know why) and decided to try Blockbuster. Since initially joining their service, their rates have increased a good bit. I actually thought about stopping it in protest of their fees, but ended up coming to the realization that it was VERY worth it for me to keep it.

I'll begin by saying that I am a movie buff; therefore I probably watch more movies than most folks. I can spend an entire weekend camped out watching movies...back to back.
With that said, I like to have a steady supply. I don't like to have to wait too long to get the next movie. I can always run to the video store and get what I want, but the whole point of the online service is to make that unnecessary.

Like Netflix, they mail you out movies that are in your queue. My blockbuster account is the maximum of 3 movies at once for $37.99 and an unlimited quantity that I can have per month. The fact that they both mail out movies is the ONLY thing that they have in common. What blockbuster offers is far better for me, which is the choice to bring in the movies that I have already watched and swap them out for movies in the store. It's like giving the watched ones to them versus mailing them back. The difference is that I STILL get the next 3 from my queue as well as the 3 from the store. That doubles my movies for the price! Plus, there is not wait for the next one to be released from your queue due to mail time for the previously viewed ones. Once the clerk, at the store, scans it, it is instantly recognized.

So, Friday I can return 3 movies and exchange them for 3 from the store and Saturday (Monday at the latest) I will receive the next 3 from my queue and I'll end up with 6 movies from the 3! How can you beat that????

Now, if you aren't a huge movie watcher, they have a lot of different choices in plans, so there is bound to be one that suits your quantity of movies AND budget!
