Blitz Turbo Scratcher Cat Toy Review

The Blitz Turbo Scratcheris an exercise tool for cats that has been around for a while now.  It has remained a steady and dependable product, and with many satisfied customers, has remained on the market for a number of years.  Sold online and at many different pet stores, mine was purchased at Shopko.  It sells for under $10.00, making it a very viable option for cat owners, and serves the purpose of being a great solitary toy that your cats can play with even if you aren't home.

The toy is relatively simple, set up as a circular scratching pad, with pipe extended around the outside, and all the way around the pad.  This plastic pipe has an opening that is wide enough for a cat to put their paws down in to it, but just narrow enough to keep the ping-pong ball from popping out.  The ball has the ability to go around the entire Turbo Scratcher , thus creating a play-toy where your cat can swat the ball around and around within the piping.  It is a really easy toy for them to play with, and it takes no assembly from when you purchase it.

The scratching pad on the top of the Turbo Scratcher is there to give your cats a second option for playing, and the act of scratching actually gets them revved up to play with the toy.  If you choose to participate with your cat, you can flick the ball around inside the pipe to get it moving, and any active cat will become quickly interested in catching that ball.  Being able to move it around on their own, and the slick surfacing inside the pipe that keeps the ball moving around in a circle, all add to the enjoyment your cat can get from the Turbo Scratcher .

Over time the pad on the top may wear down on you, and it becomes more one dimensional as a result.  It's not the end of the world though, as it is pretty inexpensive to replace the Turbo Scratcher with a new one.  The toy can provide your cat with some exercise and stimulation when you aren't around to play with them, but it is also stationary, so your cat won't get all the exercise it needs during a day.  Good for multiple cats to play with at the same time, and easy to purchase at nearly any pet-supply store, I think that the Blitz Turbo Scratcher is a really great toy that your cats can enjoy for quite a while.
