I found Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment at my local drugstore for $2.79 and I have not needed to try another product since. I love, love, love this lip ointment! Did I mention that I loved this lip ointment?
The Lip Ointment
Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment comes in a .21 oz tube with a screw off cap. When the cap is unscrewed, a slanted lip ointment applicator is revealed which makes application neat and easy.
The ointment is white, has a light consistency, and is not sticky. There is a strong medicine scent and taste to the ointment but I think it is a small price to pay for such an effective...
Blistex in the trusty little tube is the King of relief for chapped lips. For over 20 years go me I am the PRESIDENT OF THEIR FAN CLUB with the great creamy, easy melting, very shiny look to beautiful kips. $.59 a tube where I shop and Chap Sticks can only dream about Blistex's success. No feel like wax on my lips that is hard to put on chapped lips.
Unfortunately Blistex tried another group of tweenies who love rolling lipsticks, so they get metal rolling ball of blistex that is very watery & not good to cure hurting lips. But they are cool to kids, so they pay $3.00 each.
Give me the oiginal...
review »Blistex is the all encompassing brand name for several over-the-counter products intended to heal and shield your lips from cold sores. Several of them come packaged in what can best be called candy flavors. This particular one is just plain white.
I take several products for the cold sores that develop on my lips each at the beginning of each winter. Almost 20% of the population (according to the Blistex site) endures the same malady which is why this market has a lot of growth. Using the product is merely soothing; it won't cure anything since the reason for cold sores is a virus. But...
review »I got Blistex by accident a few years ago and found it to be a great product to have around. With my family and I living in one of the Midwest states it is especially great in the winter. I have a ten year old and she will even use it. It really doesn't have a taste god or bad and is one of the reason we use it. She is less likely to lick it off. I use it regular through out the year as to keep moisture on my lips. In the winter months I use it more as to prevent cold sores and chapped lips. With myself using an inhaler dry the corners of my mouth end up cracking. Using this prevents this. Give...
review »I just love Blistex. I have used it for over 20 years. I discovered it in Maine. My lips were always cracking from the cold. Using Blistex daily cures that right away. I still use it here in Florida. It is the best chapped lips ********/p>
This is the only medicated lip balm that will work for me. All the other burn my lips. I would recommend this for chapped lips.. but I wouldnt recommend it for using it on a daily basis. It works best for me when I use it PRN (as needed).
