I have a drawer full of lipsticks and lip gloss.  I'm always trying out new products to see what will hydrate my lips best.  Blistex came out with a new product called Blistex Deep Renewal, so of course I had to try it.

It comes in a small, pellet shaped, white tube that is thicker than most Blistex products.  There is no menthol smell like you typically notice when you use a Blistex product either.  Instead it's a refreshing, almost minty scent.  (for those of you that don't like the medicated aroma, you may like this one better!)  It goes on nice and smooth and glides right across your mouth.  It feels very nice, and your lips instantly feel refreshed.

Blistex Deep Renewal is actually an anti-aging lip treatment!  It is clinically proven to reduce visible signs of aging, promote lip heath and vitality, and provides a terrific moisturizing benefit.  However, those benefits will only last with consistent use of the product.

The advance formula includes:  (I'm copying right off the website here)

  • Coenzyme Q-10 The gold standard for moisturization and overall revitalization
  • Hyaluronic filling spheres help give lips a fuller appearance
  • Vitamin-collagen anti-oxidant complex promotes lasting lip health
  • Light-refractors contribute to improving lips luster and youthfulness
  • Sun protection SPF 15 helps protect against sun damage that can accelerate the aging process
  • When I used the this product, I noticed an immediate relief of dryness that I was suffering from.  It did a great job at re-hydrating.  However, I didn't think it worked any better than any other Blistex product, and I honestly missed that menthol feeling from my regular Blistex.

The price for Blistex Deep Renewal was average -  $ 2.99 for a tube of it, which I'd say is pretty run of the mill.  It's a very easy product to locate; available at every store that I have been in, in fact.   So if you've always liked the way Blistex makes your lips feel, but maybe didn't care for the medication in the formula, I think you'd really like this product.  It's light and very effective in soothing chapped, cracked,  or dried lips.

Stay connected with this2shallpass19, she is the connoisseur of lip balms and reviews them alot! I almost bought this last night while at Wal-Mart because I love the Blistex products. But then something else caught my eye--stay tuned for a review on a new lipbalm line! Oh, I did a review on Blistex too a few weeks ago! ~Gigi

Me too, will just get the regular Blistex, even here my lips get so dry but that's partly because I am a long wearing lipstick junky.

I'm a lip balm and lip gloss junkie. My lips are always so dry especially in the winter. This sounds like a product I would like. Thank you for the helpful review! ;-) ~Krista Lynn
