Black & Decker Die-Cast Metal 5-Speed
I bought this blender specifically for crushing ice to make smoothies and because it has a glass not plastic pitcher, unfortunately it just scrapes the ice a little and basically just whirls the ice around the glass pitcher. It's pretty though.
Magic Bullet The Magic Bullet
GE Multi Speed
Ge makes awesome blenders. Never have to have too long for the it to blend, chop, etc.
Osterizer Blender 14 speed
I brought this Osterizer 14 speed blender to make idli, dosa batter and also the chutney and the powders. But this is surely not meant for these things. Every time i used it, i had a hard time as i had to push the food to the bottom so that it gets grinded. I could not even make garlic paste out of this.
But yes, it can grind liquids very well.
Blendtec Blendtec Home Total Blender Tabletop Blender TB-621-20 (black)
I purchased my Blendtec at Costco after watching a demonstration where my daughters and I sampled a smoothie, ice cream, and soup-all made within minutes with the Blendtec blender. I had been looking for a blender after seeing a friend's Vita Mixer. I was pleased with the look and size of the Blendtec in comparison to the Vita Mixer. It was much smaller and didn't require taking appart to clean. It comes in one piece so there is no need to remove blades and rubber stops that may eventually leak. The quick easy cleanup was a real selling point for me. The first two months I made yummy smoothies...

I got this for my college apartment, because I figured one person didn't really need a full-size blender, and I had seen this one advertised and it looked...interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. I have definitely like that it is small and does not take up too much space, and it actually is a decent blender. I have not been too impressed with it though. It is your basic blender. It does blend things pretty quickly though (it has to because if you leave it running for more than 30 seconds, you'll destroy the thing). It's also not too loud which is always a plus. I really do like the idea of...

Proctor Silex Blender Express
The best blender I've ever owned.
Bought the blender 10 years ago and it's still chopping Ice and making smoothie's.
It has eight different speeds, easy to use.
GE ge blender model 169188
Bought the GE blender model 169188 at our local walmart so I could make Smoothies for my son. We made sure it was powerful, so it could chop ice without burning up the motor. This particular model was 600 watts, 120 VAC, 60 Hz. It should have been powerful enough, but the motor burnt up within the first month.... And it wasn't while it was in use, the blender was plugged in but off, and unused when it opted to die.
Oster blnder/food processor
In the 1980's I had an Oster Kitchen center. It included a blender, food processor, stand mixer, slicer, and meat grinder. When the motor finally burned out after about 18 years of frequent use, I was sad to see it go. I found out that my newer Oster blender is compatible with my Kitchen center's food processor accessories, jars, bases, and blades, and I was back in business. I've since purchased extra blender blades, jars and a larger food processor attachment. My basic Oster blender is awesome. I partially defrost meat chunks and grind them in the processor. I shred cabbage, grind potatoes,...

Last Christmas, I saw the commercial on television for the Magic Bullet, and I thought that it might make a good present for my girlfriend for our kitchen. I have bought one or two things from television ads, and they usually are just OK, not living up to the hype. I fully expected us to maybe use it three or four times and then forget about it. But as it turns out, we've had it almost a year and we still use it all the time! My girlfriend and I both like to cook, so it gets used almost every day.I use it quite often for breakfast, making omelettes mostly. It works great for chopping up vegetables...
review »Magic Bullet Magic Bullet Blender - As Seen on TV
The Magic Bullet isn't an everything blender, there are things you would be better off using a full sized blender, but for what it does it is great. Using it for everything from making pancakes, to mixing eggs for omelets, it is quick and easy, and easy to clean.
The best thing is the 4 drink cups. They are made so you can put the ingredients right into the cup and pop it on to the mixing top and make mixed and frozen drinks. Then you put on a drink lip, 4 different colors, so you can make sure you have your own, and just drink right out of the cup after mixing. The kids can make frozen slurpee...
review »Magic Bullet Express
We purchased the Magic Bullet and Bullet Express products. BOTH products failed within three uses, the engines they use in the machines are of poor quality and in both instances they burned out. The Bullet Express failed mixing egg, water, and flour; the Magic Bullet mixing a protein drink. Extremely poor product quality.
Even worse, once you're past 30 days forget about the organization standing by their product. You're on your own once your past that window. Terrible product, terrible customer service, terrible experience. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
KitchenAid KSB560 5 Speed Blender
I've had this blender for only a few of week but have found ways to use it many times. My favorite thing to do it make fresh fruit & yogurt smoothies. My old blender was terrible at crushing ice (hence the upgrade), and I am very pleased with my purchase. Though a little bit loud (it is crushing ice after all), I really enjoy my blender. Also, it's really good about getting a nice, smooth blend of foods. Some blenders have the "layering effect," but not this one.
I live in an apartment so I don't have very much counter space or cupboard space. I do not find having this blender creates any kind...
